24.01.2022 DOES THIS LOOK AND SOUND BETTER THAN INTERNET SHOPPING? "Hi Kat as promised on yesterday's group call some colours for your consideration for "that" classic ball chain slip! My recommendations are on the yellow card.... 308 is a dark grey which will still be "summery" with the right shade of contrast bind in the silk seam construction. 801 is a beautiful pale Summer or "dove" grey. Not as transeasonal as 3034 below. But if find your self reaching for "something" lighter when Spring rolls around (every year) this shade does hit that spot. 3034 is a beautiful "non" colour with enough colour for contrast silk bind to contrast on. There are nice shades on the white backed cards but I have found the cloth on the yellow cards to handle better in production which means it will handle better in your life! Let me know what makes your heart sing and I will start lay some contrast silk binds over in the 4 or 5 different shades of ivory to almond for the exposed bound seams. 10.01.2022 6/10? When I ask women, potential new members, to rate their go to outfits for an important presentation or meeting on a scale of 1-10 I typically get a 6 maybe a 7 if they’re not feeling bloated. When I ask them if they deliver 6 out of 10 in their business no one ever says Yes, my delivery is 6-7 out of ten.... 9,10,11 out of ten are always the numbers they attribute to their work because I only deal with high delivering women entrepreneurs. So then when I point out the gap between how they present and what they deliver they always say, Oh but when I open my mouth they can hear that I really know my stuff. The bad news is the first impression is formed in less than 3 seconds and it is the deepest one, it’s sub language and exists on the level of instinct. Even the most conservative but successful business coaches like Brian Tracy teach being the best dressed in the room to become the best in the room in his audiobook and seminar. Tracy puts it so simply, clothes cover 95% of your body so they make up the most power and immediate impression on the people around you. And that’s the other piece of really bad news, if you think Oh but when I open my mouth they can hear that I really know my stuff What about everyone else? All the people you pass in that 6 degrees of separation, even in the virtual world, especially in the virtual world! Who you’re never going to have the opportunity to explain yourself too? And is that really what you want to be using your valuable air time for? Explaining past your dress or trying to hold attention before you get to your content? 09.01.2022 No one questions a successful man in business, right to buy a Rolex or $5k bespoke suit - it’s expected! But if you’re a woman entrepreneur who’s not into watches and even less into suits, how do you leverage the tools of dress for power? Designer handbag and shoes..? What if they make you feel like a billboard for a big brand? And none of their clothes actually fit you, neck to knee... So what do you do about covering the rest of your body when you are not getting any help... there? The truth is there is very little power in conforming to what everyone else does. 06.01.2022 SOME PEOPLE ARE BORN WITH IT! Do you believe some women are just born with style. Or more to the point, you were not... Back in the day, before life got seriously and busy, you had a go at it developing your style. But all that play has disappeared from your life now and you’re left thinking you just weren’t born with it.... So many of my clients, like those on today’s group call, once felt like this.
