22.01.2022 Ok, there has been a little confusion from phone calls regarding the "delux detail" and the "Basic detail". So I will post what the delux is and what the basic is below. Also this is a drop off and pick by customer, I am not a mobile service. DELUX DETAIL: ... (Full day and usually night required) Exterior The exterior delux detail begins with a wash, followed by removing surface contaminants through the use of a clay bar and solution. Once the prep work is done, a cutting compound is applied by a rotary buffer to remove minor scratches and to correct minor paint defects. Next a dual action machine polisher is used to polish the paint to a high gloss and to prep the vehicle for the next step. Finally, to complete your vehicles transition, a quality wax is applied twice to protect the paint and to give your vehicle a great shine! Interior The interior is wiped down with a cleaning solution. Then the interior is vacuumed, leather conditioned. Next the dash, door jams, plastic trims are coated with a UV protecting paste. Interior detail can be added/deleted to the Delux detail on request by customer. Some people just want the outside done, some both. The choice is yours. Wheels & Tyres Wheels are cleaned using an acid free safe solution, tyres and rims are cleaned. The tyres are then coated with a quality dressing solution to bring out the shine, the wheels are then coated with a wheel wax which is safe for chrome - alloy - and painted wheels. Wheel wax protects from brake dust and surface contaminants. The basic day detail is an option for the daily driver who just wants their vehicle tidied up. This service begins with a wash and dry followed by a coat of wax for protection. Then your plastic bumpers, rims and tyres are dressed. Lastly, the interior is vaccuumed and wiped down with a cleaning solution. The dash and plastic trim are coated with a UV protectant. 12.01.2022 DIY Tip: Washing When washing your vehicle, I bet you wash in a circular motion with one bucket of soapy water re-dunking your mitt into the same dirty water...? Well, that's fine if you like swirl marks and scratches. The correct methed is the two bucket method. This involves one bucket with plain clean water and a second bucket with your soapy water.... Before washing, be sure to hose the vehicle down first removing any large dirt particles, then get your wash mitt and dunk it into the clean water bucket to make sure it is actually clean. You can now dunk into the soapy water bucket and start washing in STRAIGHT lines, one small section at at time. After a small section is washed, dunk your mitt into the clean water bucket and give it a shake around. This will remove any dirt particles that is on the wash mitt, now you can dunk into the soapy water and keep washing. Repeat until car is washed. When washing with one bucket of soapy suds, all you are doing is re dunking your wash mitt into dirty water and putting these fine dirt particles back onto your paint. Washing in circles causes any dirt particles on the mitt to put circular scratches onto your paint. ie swirl marks. Straight line fine scratches are harder to see then circular scratches. Light can only reflect on a couple angles on a straight line scratch, circular sratches can be seen on any angle. So remember, wash in straight lines and keep dunking your mitt into the clean water bucket before the soapy water. Your car will love you for it! :)

09.01.2022 Nissan Navara delux detail using a rotary buffer with cutting compound, followed by machine polish and a coat of wax. JD Bender said on Apr 22, 2012 4:52 PM 2011 Nissan Navara ST-X, got it done by Rob, and the shine was better then it was when i bought the car brand new 6 months ago. With special light he showed me all the swirl marks invisible to the naked eye caused by washing the wrong way... Thanx Heaps Rob... Customer for life now ;-)
