Don’t count on your hat to provide full ear protection - we all need to be applying sunscreen to the ears too! This summer, don’t let the little things get away from you. Make sure every crevice of your body is sunscreened up!

03.01.2022 For an adult, the recommended application in Australia is 5mL (approximately one teaspoon) for each arm, leg, body front, body back and face (including neck and ears). That equates to a total of 35mL (approximately seven teaspoons) for a full body application. #melanoma #MatesAgainstMelanoma #MAM #skincancer #MakePreventionAHealthyHabit

01.01.2022 Hi to all Mates Against Melanoma Supporters! I apologise for no communication since last year and hope you all had a happy & safe Xmas and new year season. As I re-started my immunotherapy treatment I have suffered with major fatigue which reduced the amount of work I was able to achieve. This is now starting to settle down and is allowing me more time to work on the charity again. I would like to thank you all for your continued support and believe 2020 will be a great year for all.

01.01.2022 Melanoma: The most serious form of skin cancer. Melanoma is a highly invasive form of cancer and is a cancer of the melanocytes. Not all melanomas will look the same, which is why it is important to apply the A.B.C.D.E of skin cancer when checking for symptoms - this refers to asymmetry, borders, colour, diameter and evolving, all of which can indicate that a mole or lesion is actually cancerous. In order to catch these cancers early, be sure to have regular check-ups with your doctor.
