06.01.2022 ASIST Sessions have returned with our latest volunteers being trained in Toowoomba, QLD. ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) workers are taught the skills necessary to talk to a person contemplating suicide with the objective of making the person safe while creating a safe plan. This is the third level of training that MATES offers worksites to complete a mentally healthy workplace and is required to reach MATES Accreditation.
