24.01.2022 It has been great travelling across SA and supporting local businesses over the past couple weeks. Times have been tough for many business owners but it’s great to see many other South Australian’s travelling around the state as well. After a busy tax season it was great to get away and relax for a couple weeks. ... I’m returning to the office Monday and will answer any emails I’ve missed then. 24.01.2022 Wondering when you'll receive your group certificate? You won't! Group certificates are no more, with all payment summaries being linked to your MyGov account.... Employers have until the 14th of July to complete payment summaries, so most of you should be tax ready. Several clients have already came through and completed their 2020 tax return. 23.01.2022 *EARLY TAX RETURNS PLEASE NOTE* The ATO is urging taxpayers to hold off from lodging their 2020 tax return until all their income details have been finalised.... Many employers are reporting through Single Touch Payroll (STP) for the first time. *Please wait until your employer info is marked as ‘Tax-ready’ before your appointment to ensure your information is correct. Employers have until 14 July (20 or more employees) or 31 July (19 or fewer employees) to do this. You can check online via your myGov account, or alternatively contact us to check. Other information from banks, health funds and government agencies will also be automatically inserted into your tax return. For most people, this will happen by the end of July. If you are lodging before then, make sure the information provided is complete, accurate and up to date to avoid delays or a debt later on.

11.01.2022 What will you spend your refund on? It’s been a successful first month of the 2020 Tax Season. Helping so many clients achieve great refunds has been a real highlight so far.... New clients who have lodged their return themselves in the past have been able to claim more than previous years because they weren’t aware of certain deductions they were entitled to. With 5 years of industry experience and up to date knowledge of the Australian Tax Law Standards, I’m able to help guide clients through what they can claim. I’ve had a few messages from clients struggling to access their mygov accounts. Employers had to the 31st of July to finalise all payment summaries so if you can’t access your mygov, don’t stress, I’ll be able to access it for you.
