25.01.2022 Every day more and more schools are transitioning to remote online learning models. It’s a turbulent time for all of us and we won’t let this take their Academic Goals to be at stake. We are primarily focused on a face-to-face tutoring concept. but it seems painfully obvious now that for many students, one way or another, online will become their primary channel for education in the foreseeable future.... At the moment we are working on some great virtual classroom environment to support our students who are making this transition. This will enable them to engage with all the asynchronous communication with the tutor, class mates and with other shared resources. Not only you will be gaining your knowledge in Maths you will also be honing your digital skills on the most sophisticated online learning technology

22.01.2022 Talking aloud while doing math is a very important strategy. Chances are that you already do this in your head. It is important to talk aloud so that your tutor can hear your thoughts and notice exactly where you have trouble. Over time, your specific problems will become more obvious and your tutor will be able to help you better. Without this learning strategy a lot of your thinking mistakes can go unnoticed for a long time. You must realize that a lot of underachievers,... especially in mathematics, sit and try to do a problem in complete silence inside their heads. They think that solutions magically pop into the heads of smart people. This is not the case. When doing a math problem there will be many thoughts popping into your head: What was the formula? Is this the same question type as in class? What was that rule again? Can I use that concept here? What should I do now? This doesn’t make sense. When thoughts are jumbled up in your head like that it can be very hard to solve the simplest problems. You absolutely MUST talk aloud to give your thoughts structure! See more

15.01.2022 It's about time to boost your Maths Skills!!!! https://www.theage.com.au//alarm-bells-australian-students

14.01.2022 At school students are bombarded with mathematics content but never taught how to learn this elusive subject or how to study in general. Eventually students fall behind and often they do try to catch up. Commonly, they don’t know how to approach such an overwhelming task and their efforts yield little results- the cycle of poor grades continues. Our philosophy to teaching is based upon a firm belief that every child can succeed at maths or any other subject, given the proper ...encouragement, motivation and tools. We believe that our most important job is to listen and observe how students work and learn, and then provide them with strategies to work and learn more effectively. Our main aim is to reach underachieving students as early as possible and teach them effective and lifelong learning strategies and problem solving skills. This will begin a cycle of confidence, motivation, and academic success that will stay with them for the rest of their lives

04.01.2022 #TheCycleOfSuccess: Say you believe that you are really smart and that math is fun and easy. What actions will you take? Obviously, you will study more; listen in class and so forth. In turn you will tap into more potential maybe up to 90%. As a result you will get good grades and even if they are not perfect, they will be a great improvement. These results in turn will reinforce the belief that you are smart and math is fun and... easy. See more
