04.01.2022 CORRECTIVE ROMANIAN DEADLIFT by @matinfitness_ Back with another corrective video, in this shot we are visiting the romanian deadlift exercise ... There is a lot going wrong on left and its actually one of most common mistake that I see when individuals are performing the exercise. Instead of being tight and creating the neutral spine, the individual’s back is bending which will cause them a lower back injury for sure. Also you will notice that the knees may be bent too much, almost like a conventional deadlift. There is not hinging at the hips to where the load will be focused primarily on the glutes and hamstrings. Another mistake is by going to heavy and fast with the "bro lifting! On the right we have a neutral spine, we are bending at the hips, aka hip hinging, and allowing the load to have emphasis on the glutes and hamstrings which are the primaries for this exercise. Also we are focusing on full range of motion rather than the ego lifting! . . 02.01.2022 - Where Does Your Motivation Go When You Lose it? How many times have you said something like this to yourself? Probably more than a few times, if you're like me. Motivation isn't something you can find or lose, or something you can get from anyone or anything else. I know it sounds so cliche but If you really want to accomplish something, you already have all the motivation you need, and there's nothing to go looking for.... What you actually need to do is train your wandering mind to remember how much you really want to accomplish your goal and how good it feels to do what it takes to make this happen. When you can remember that feeling, and call it to mind in the moment when you actually have to choose between chilling on the couch and doing your exercise, or between the pizza and the steamed veggies, making the decision you want to make will be much easier. You may still decide to go for the couch and the pizza once in a while, but you'll know it's your decision, and not the result of some mysterious problem called "lack of motivation." And that will be OK.
