24.01.2022 Yesterday, two of our Stars were named in the 2021 Australian 21 and Under Squad. Congratulations to Tyler Orr and Lucy Austin for this awesome achievement. On the same day, our Star Emily Burgess was named as an official training partner with @nswswifts for the 2021 season. We are so proud of everything our Stars have achieved this year and couldn’t be more excited for what next year holds for our girls! #starsintheheart #matricsnetballclub

24.01.2022 2020 has certainly been a year full of many ups and downs. Although it has been challenging and different, we are so grateful that we have been able to play the sport we love. Our Stars have worked so hard this season and had many highlights including 13 Premierships across the Club in the Winter season. We are so proud of all the achievements our Stars have made this year. Thank you to all our wonderful members at Matrics for your countless support. 23.01.2022 September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Many people in our Club have been personally effected by cancer through various different ways. Our Premier League Stars are getting behind this amazing charity Childhood Cancer Association with their gold laces, a very well loved original Elliot and an old Childhood Cancer t-shirt worn and owned by one of our very own childhood cancer survivors. 23.01.2022 Vale Ivy-Rose Hughes We are absolutely devastated to hear the news of Ivy-Rose Hughes’ passing in last night's motor vehicle accident. An incredible netballer and even more incredible young woman, the entire netball community has been saddened by this news. She was a bright spark and was much loved throughout our club.... Ivy is a star of our Premier League squad and has represented South Australia on numerous occasions and her impact on the netball community will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with Ivy’s family and loved ones at this time, along with the entire netball family who are feeling the impact of this great loss. Ivy-Rose Hughes. Forever a star

22.01.2022 Looking forward to the start of the netball season with our 5 Senior teams commencing their first round of matches this Saturday (24th April) from 2:45pm and 4:05pm at Priceline Stadium. In a repeat of last year’s AMND Grand Final, our AMND League team (our number 1 senior team outside of our Premier League and Premier League Reserves teams) will be playing Walkerville in the ANZAC day match on court 1 from 2:45pm. We are the Home team and therefore will be sitting in the court side area closest to the big TV screen. We would love your support on Saturday afternoon for our AMND League team and also our 4 other Senior teams. 21.01.2022 Well done to all our Grand Finalists and GO players in such a great ending to a different Covid impacted season. We are so proud of all 39 teams who played in the AMND competition and their achievements. We had 31 teams play finals out of 36 teams eligible to do so with 8 of these teams having to play against our own Club through the finals series. Our 3 GO teams also played straight through the season in their participation matches. Ultimately 22 of our teams made the Gran...d Final. 11 teams won a premiership with 2 teams missing out against our own Club (you’re all Premiers in our eyes ). Congratulations to all that participated throughout this season. We couldn’t have done it without all the support from our wonderful parents, coaches, players, supporters, umpires and officials. 20.01.2022 Congratulations to our Star Kim Hearnden for making her official Premier League game debut. Kim played one quarter in our League side last year, which unfortunately does not qualify as a ‘game’ but she had a pivotal role in our Reserves team and our 2019 Reserves Premiership. On Friday night, Kim played four quarters in our League side at the young age of 16, and helped us grab the win over Oakdale! So proud of you Kim #starsintheheart #matricsnetballclub

18.01.2022 From Saturday 15th August, entry into Priceline stadium for the AMND competition will be via ticket arrangement from Ticketmaster. Details are provided below. Similar to recent weeks, there will be designated areas for patrons to line up and enter based on their role and match location. These details are: - If you are playing inside (ie courts 1,2,3,4), you are required to line up from the VIP entrance down the side of the stadium. For those who play outside (courts 5 ... 30), you are required to line up in the bottom carpark area near court 5 with 1 player and 1 parent/guardian. This includes scorers, team managers and primary carers. Coaches with bags and patrons with mobility aids and/or prams are required to line up/wait in the Blackchrome circle of cement blocks outside Western entry (away from doors). As per previous weeks, umpires for the C6 competition and the C6 players are to line up against the office windows to the left of the Western main entrance. To ensure all players gain entry, jumping the line is discouraged. Entry remains at one player per one spectator, so please purchase the ticketing accordingly as below. ONLINE TICKET PURCHASES: NSA, in partnership with Ticketmaster, have launched the online purchase of entry tickets. Patrons are to pre-purchase an entry ticket from Ticketmaster. There will be no Cash tickets on the day. One player, one (1) spectator strictly applies. Any additional spectator/s must wait until all players and officials have entered the stadium to ensure there are no delays to start of matches and capacity limits adhered to. Additional spectator passes are NOT guaranteed entry and refunds will not apply. Your ticket will be scanned upon entering the stadium or exit if returning ensure you have tickets ready to be presented and scanned any delays will result in match delays. If you are leaving for the day, please exit via the eastern or western gate. Important:- If you exit with the intention to return later, please only exit via the main doors or VIP entrance where your ticket will be scanned. If you use the Eastern Exit, the ticket will not be scanned and you may not re-enter the stadium later on the same day. If you are staying for the next timeslot (e.g. played and now coaching or umpiring), please proceed to the eastern grandstand of court 1 and remain seated until directed. If you do not have an official capacity for the next time slot, you must exit the stadium and scan ticket out as above. Entry ticket prices are as follows and includes a booking fee. 17.01.2022 We would like to thank the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division committee and Netball SA staff for all of their efforts they have put into this season, allowing our Stars to play the game they love! As it has definitely been an unusual year, we understand there have been many curveballs thrown and they have gone above and beyond to handle everything in a timely manner with an outcome that is best for everyone and in favour of girls playing with spectators being able to watch. So proud to see that 34 of our teams will be playing again next week in finals and participation matches for our three gorgeous GO teams who have been enjoying some indoor games over the last two weeks #starsintheheart #matricsnetballclub

16.01.2022 Our Star Tyler Orr has been selected in the SSN Collingwood Magpies Netball team as a replacement player for the team’s midcourt. We are so proud of Tyler and how hard she has been working to create this amazing opportunity. The whole team is right behind you. Can’t wait to see our Stars going head to head on Sunday at home with Maisie Nankivell playing for the Adelaide Thunderbirds against Tyler Orr in the Collingwood Magpies Netball team.

10.01.2022 On Friday night our League team defeated Tango by 14 goals and have made their way through to the Grand Final with our Reserves team. This Friday night our Reserves play Oakdale at 6:50pm followed by League versing Contax at 8:40pm. Both matches will be played on Court 1 at Priceline Stadium. 09.01.2022 Our Reserves team successfully defeated Contax by 8 goals on Friday night and have gone straight through to the Grand Final next Friday. Our League team put up an epic battle against Contax but unfortunately lost by 1 goal in the dying seconds of the game. They luckily have a second chance and will play against Tango this Friday night to head into the Grand Final next Friday. We will be playing on Court 1 with the match starting at 8:40pm. While this is a later start, we wo...uld love to see as many Stars in the stand cheering on our PL side as there is no more netball on Saturday mornings for the remainder of this year. 07.01.2022 In what was such a difficult and different season, we couldn’t be more thrilled to win the Back To Back Double Header this year!! Along with winning both Premier League and Reserves games, our Stars also won a group of other awards on the night including: MVP in Reserves Grand Final- Ella Quinn... MVP in League Grand Final- Lucy Austin Rookie of the Year - Casey Bernhardt Reserves Most Valuable Player of the year - Lauren Frew (also 2019) Runner up Reserves player of the year - Georgia Kraft Team of the Year WA - Georgia Dent Team of the Year GK - Sophie Croft Team of the Year Centre Court reserve - Tyler Orr These two wins make a total of 13 Premierships for our Club this Winter Season. We couldn’t have done this without all the amazing support behind our Club. For those who will be coming to the stadium, we are the Home team for both matches (ie closest to the big tv screen) with the League starting at 6:50pm and the Reserves from 8:40pm. Don’t forget masks are required at all times when moving about the stadium. In round 6 against Garville, 18 year old Lauren Frew made her debut in GS for a half and in round 7 against Newton Jaguars, 19 year old Sophie Westover made her debut in WD for a half. 05.01.2022 Five of our Stars made their debuts in last Friday’s Premier League and Reserves games against Metro Jets. Players need to play for more than one quarter in a Premier League/Reserves game to count as an ‘official’ debut. A big congratulations goes out to Georgia Kraft who made her official debut playing GK for the whole League game and Sophie Casey for playing C in the last quarter of the League game. Another round of congratulations goes out to our Inters players, Amelia Ol...ech in GA and Jordan Cowels in GK who made their official debuts in the Reserves game as well. Also to Audrey Jones who played WA in the last quarter of the Reserves game. All 5 of these girls had pivotal roles in our games and helped us grab the win over Metro Jets in both League and Reserves. 04.01.2022 IN MEMORY OF IVY-ROSE HUGHES A Service of Farewell and Celebration of our Star Ivy will be held on Wednesday 24th March 2021 at 11:00am in the Harrison Funerals complex, corner of Golden Grove Road and Jack High Lane Ridgehaven. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Road Trauma Support Team SA would be appreciated. To comply with COVID regulations, you should aim to arrive by no later than 10:30am. Social distancing of 1.5 metres between groups must be adhered to.
