25.01.2022 Matrix, now conducting weather surveys. Corey and our field crew in NSW were lucky to catch some snow on a recent job near Jindabyne!

24.01.2022 Welcome Denville Elleston to the Matrix UK Team. Den is based in Southampton and will be helping Ben Parry with the expanding Matrix Traffic and Transport Data UK team in the south. Slow start because of the current lockdown. However, they will be a steady stream of catch up surveys when conditions improve. Maybe a company tough mudder in the future?? 30 seconds with Den. I have been a secondary school PE teacher for 20 years. I enjoy keeping fit and days out with my family.... I also help coach my kids' football and rugby clubs. I would love more time to spend on working on old cars which I really enjoy even though very frustrating at times. I have made the most of lock-down with lots of family time which I have loved. The time has also allowed my friends and I to keep in touch better through online gaming. Unfortunately, we quickly found out that we are not very good at it! I am looking forward to embracing the challenges of a new sector by utilising my logistical and interpersonal skills. And I hope 2021 is a more positive and prosperous year for all of us. 23.01.2022 Rafaiy is one of our Victorian Project Managers, who has been with us since December 2017. Rafaiy has been part of a solid team who has done an amazing job of holding up the fort during the Melbourne lockdown. Rafaiy's favourite thing about working at Matrix, is that no two days are the same. Each new project has new requirements to be fulfilled along with new locations, challenges and deadlines. Fulfilling them gives him a feeling of accomplishment and purpose in life. Away from work, Rafaiy is an avid reader, and follows current affairs keenly, and loves cars and technology. He also spends a lot of time in his garden, and a bit of a rose expert!

22.01.2022 Jay is one of our amazing Project Managers in QLD, who has been with us for almost 5 years. If you have ever asked us to do a manual survey in QLD, chances are, Jay has been the brains behind the scenes. Jay is incredibly easy going and loves the team environment at Matrix and working with the unique requirements of his clients. Jay was born and raised in India, and made his way to Australia to complete his Masters of Network Engineering and Diploma of Business Management. ... Away from all of this hard work, Jay is a big James Bond fan and loves to travel (this is definitely a theme among the Matrix crew!). He also takes incredible photos! You have probably seen some of his work on our website and social media.

15.01.2022 Chances are, if you know about Matrix, you know about Kevin! Kevin has been with us for over five years now, and is our man on the ground! He is our industry eyes and ears. Kevin loves being part of the great team and loves the company culture at Matrix, in particular our annual workshops where the whole team gets together. Kevin spends his spare time travelling with his wonderful wife Karina, and has visited every continent in the world except Antarctica! Which is still on the bucket list. Kevin loves exploring the history, food, culture and people.

14.01.2022 Faheema Hisham is this weeks Matrix star! Faheema started with us in January 2020 as a Project Manager and is very quietly the smartest person in the office. Prior to working with us, Faheema completed her PhD in Transport Engineering, working on public transit operations. She is a self professed maths nerd, and is fluent in Python! (The coding kind, not the Harry Potter kind) Her favourite part about working for Matrix is being part of the wonderful and crazy Matrix fami...ly. Away from work Faheema is an amazing mother to a toddler who is busy discovering the world. She also loves painting, baking, spending time with her friends and family, and exploring Australia as far as the Covid-19 restrictions will allow. Beyond Australia, her favourite place she has visited so far is Malaysia, where she loved the beaches, and especially the food!

10.01.2022 As this crazy year draws to a close, the team at Matrix wanted to extend our gratitude to everyone who we have conducted a survey for this year. In March, we were unsure of how things would unfold over the subsequent months, with our team working from home, like many others around the country, and the world. Now we are back in the office, and working at close to full capacity again, with a full team. This would not have been possible without our wonderful clients. 09.01.2022 This week we want to introduce you to the kindest person at Matrix! Rachael is our New Zealand office whiz. Rachael has only been with us for 9 months, but is already known as one of the hardest working team members, who always shows incredible initiative. Rachael says her favourite part of the week is our international teams meetings, where she gets to connect with the team's from our other offices around the world. Over the last 15 years, Rachael has worked all over the world, and has loved taking her three boys on her global adventures!

04.01.2022 Min heads our Matrix office in South Korea, and is the powerhouse behind our data delivery and reporting. He is incredibly modest, but it's safe to say he is one of the genius brains behind this project. Min started with us at Matrix in 2007, after serving for the Korean military for 2 years. His favourite part about working at Matrix is the team work. He is lucky enough to work alongside our Project Managers in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. His proudest moment was c...reating a report with over 150 flow diagrams for a Malaysia and Singapore project. (Did we mention he was a powerhouse?) Away from work, Min finds peace and enjoyment in tracking and hiking mountains at night. We still aren't sure if he ever sleeps. Min also has particularly fond memories of his time with the Military, where he was exposed to situations out of his comfort zone. He has said that through these situations he truly learned the meaning of "we" and we can absolutely attest to him bringing that value set with him to Matrix.

04.01.2022 The City of Melbourne's new cycling lanes continue to #PopUp. The lanes on Canning and William street are now also being monitored 24/7 by MetroCount's RidePod BT system. 21 monitoring sites in total will be deployed during Round One of this COVID-related project.

03.01.2022 This week we want to introduce you to our NSW Senior Field Technician and ATC Project Officer, Murray Rolles! Murray's strong work ethic and friendly attitude has solidified him as an extremely valued member of the Matrix team for almost 3 years. Murray lists the highlights of his time at Matrix as being able to travel to unique places around Australia, as well as overseas to countries like Tonga! Murray describes himself as a single bloke, who loves being a dad and enjoying life with his great mates. He's always prepared to work hard and play hard afterwards. In his spare time, Murray coaches Rugby, and is a big Warratah's fan! He also loves fishing, kayaking, travelling with mates and entertaining his family and friends.

01.01.2022 Asri has been running our Bali office since May 2016, where she is managing a quickly growing team of women! Asri was born in Jakarta, and growing up, she had the opportunity to visit and live in many cities throughout Indonesia. She has continued to explore the world, and is an avid traveller, who loves swimming and scuba-diving. Some of her favourite memories are visiting USA, UEA: Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Mecca and the Matrix workshop in New Zealand. Asri, who is tremendously hardworking, attributes her many successes at Matrix to working alongside and learning from our CEO Marty Prowse, as well as the Matrix teamwork!

01.01.2022 This weeks staff member we are launching onto the social media scene is NSW Project Officer, Brandon Blatchford, affectionately known as Don, or 'Don Don'. Don generously shares his time in the office, with his lucrative Tik Tok career. Born and raised in sunny Townsville, he made the move to Brisbane to complete his Bachelor of Economics and Finance at QUT. Don spends his spare time fishing, giving himself ridiculous haircuts, and prior to Covid-19, enjoyed seeing the w...orld. His favourite country he has visited so far is Japan. Before this season, he was a big Brisbane Bronco's fan, but is now focusing more of his supporter efforts on Chelsea FC in the Premier League, as he can't deal with the constant heart break, and Chelsea might actually win a game.
