23.01.2022 Soft sand dreaming. Lavena Village, Taveuni Island, is one of my favourite places in the world. Feeding the soul, soaking up the soothing rhythm of the waves rolling in and feeling the sand massaging my feet. Spending time with village friends surrounded by pandanus creations. The beautiful hand-woven mats are a unique work of art and functioning as a reliable income for the women, supporting families and building community. It was lovely to see a sustainable source of pand...anus growing on the edge of the village and meeting with Kirsty of @islandspiritexperiences and discuss the market options she is exploring for these beautiful products.
