This is the year to step out and stick up for our beautiful city because 2017 looks like being the year to turn on the tourism buz...z and see some of our industries thrive. The inner city has been transformed, the Story Trail and statuettes are enchanting, the RVs will begin to arrive in two months, good things are happening in our heritage attractions and the Mary Poppins museum is about to come together. God and DEHP willing (with lots of pushing from Bruce Saunders) approval will soon be given for Stage 2 of the striking memorial to Gallipoli and the Western Front - a monument that will be a catalyst for a new military tourism dynamic on the Fraser Coast. Energetic Bruce Saunders has been making the most of his influential position in Brisbane, working closely with Downer and the Maryborough Sugar Factory to bring stability to those areas. Dozens of small businesses employing up to 40 people are doing well; a major refit at the Maryborough Central (Plaza) shopping centre will see a big low-cost supermarket open there in March; the Brolga has a grand 2017 program including a local production of My Fair Lady in March; a major expansion is about to be announced in the timber industry; and whisper is good news is coming on the health front. Our council's problems tend to obscure the fact it is delivering on many fronts. Yes, our CBD still has too many closed shops and some business are hanging out for an RV and tourism boost but in terms of regional cities we are looking healthy. Maryborough is the place to be as the tide turns and the desire grows for quality living in friendly communities. See more

16.01.2022 Two professional photographer shooting again this time, I did the serious ones and Carmen Hunn did the stalking (candid) ones. I have just been over to Carmens place to view the photos before she edits them and we were both saying that it really works have the two cameras working, it just captures the essence of the wedding day that the Bride and Groom wouldn't usually see at a wedding.
