25.01.2022 Youve got to love days like these! A little coverage for Jimmy earlier in the year

25.01.2022 Its time for a little Flashback Friday! This particular night still stands as one of the most impressive Auroras Ive ever seen!! Its size is probably best illustrated by the fact that to shoot an Aurora you normally need to shoot in a southern direction.. and this shot actually faces West!! Cant wait to see another one like this.. one day

24.01.2022 A little star gazing from Howden a few nights ago

24.01.2022 The Milkyway towering over Cradle Mountain as the fog slowly rolls down to Dove lake

24.01.2022 A little colour floating around at Blackmans Bay beach this morning

23.01.2022 Morning waves at south arm earlier in the year

21.01.2022 A little bit of an Aurora/Milkyway combo from a little while ago

20.01.2022 I went for a bit of a swim at Snug falls today. An upside of all this rain it that its flowing nicely at the moment

20.01.2022 There was a little bit of swell hanging about at Blackmans Bay this afternoon. So I grabbed my water housing and headed out for a bit of a swim

20.01.2022 James doing what James does well

19.01.2022 This photo is artificial... Actually what I mean to say the lake in the photo is artificial. It was built in 1969 to help provide water to a nearby power station... or at least thats what google tells me and it pretty sounded convincing. So Im just going to pass it off as something that I know alot about when actually all I know is that this is Lake Barrington and it looks really nice on a clear calm day

17.01.2022 Snug falls being all nice and stuff yesterday

17.01.2022 With the sky being perfectly clear near home last night I thought Id take the oppertunity to revisit one of my favorite local spots. Theres even just a little hint of an Aurora for good measure #Aurora

17.01.2022 Once a jolly swagman

17.01.2022 When the Milkyway and a small Aurora collide

17.01.2022 The final stages of a pretty decent sunset over the Tasman Peninsula earlier in the week

15.01.2022 In sticking with water and caves theme i started in my previous post These under and over shots are a whole lot of fun!! and yet at the same time they are probably some of the most challanging photos for me to take. They add a whole bunch of extra complexity and aspects to think about. But this is still just one photo with nothing added in post.. and as I said.. A whole lot of fun!!

15.01.2022 For a short time each year the sun lines up with the opening of this arch. I made the trek down there before sunrise this morning hoping that the clouds would clear just long enough for me to get the shot I wanted. Luckly the clouds separated and the sun shined through the arch just long enough for me to take a few shots

14.01.2022 Ride the storm

14.01.2022 Ah ha!! Just as I suspected! Your favourite shots from this year tell me that Im Not the only one who likes caves and astrophotography! #caveman Its been quite the year! 13.01.2022 Heres one you wont see too often. The very remote Jetty at the end of the Pieman river on Tasmanias wild west coast. Access is only by boat or a well prepared four wheel drive (with recovery gear). Its definetly a bit of a trek to get there, but Id say its worth it

13.01.2022 I ventured out late last night for a little astro photography.. and I was not disappointed! How great are clear Tasmanian night skies!

12.01.2022 West coast Tassie

11.01.2022 Some the tallest sea cliffs in the Southern hemisphere and Cape Huay on a near perfect day with @saldavis9

09.01.2022 While I do love shooting this spot.. this morning I was greeted with a very clear reminder that this area is always changing and not the safest of places. As I made my way in I found several very large boulders which had recently fallen right where I normally walk. So while its definitely cool to see how a place can change over time.. Id really rather not be there when its actually happening

09.01.2022 Last nights Aurora

08.01.2022 A little rock arch goodness from sunrise this morning

05.01.2022 Those of you who have followed this page for a while will probably know.. I like caves!!.. so why should being at the Great Barrier Reef change anything? So heres a little sea cave on the Great Barrier Reef

03.01.2022 A few months ago I bought @saldavis9 a voucher for a scenic flight over Tasman Island with @osbornehelitours and for last few days weve been on the Tasman peninsula at a family shack (but with some pretty ordinary weather). But today the weather cleared up and we decided it was time to head up for a look And we were definitely impressed!! Such an epic bit of coastline!! (And a shout out to Tom for being such a cool pilot ).
