23.01.2022 Saturday 29th February, South Wagga Apex and Major Sponsor Planet Power will be hosting The Mighty Murrumbidgee River Duck Race at the Wagga Wagga Beach. This will be the state of NSW’s biggest Community Run River Duck Race. With over 2500 ducks purchased by members of the community for $5.00 each racing down the Murrumbidgee River to have the chance to win over $3000.00 in cash prizes. The day is going to be a festival at the iconic Wagga Wagga Beach. With food stalls, live ...music, markets and produce stalls, amusements for the kids and plenty of activities for all ages. It will be a fun filled festivals showcasing the very best of what our Community has to offer. Movie by Moonlight will finish off the festival showcasing a movie on the banks of the Murrumbidgee for all the family. FOOD STALLS: Available from 1.00 - 8.30pm Infuso - coffee cart Killer Pies Kitos Catering - burgers Riverina Poffertjes The Raven & Unicorn Waggas Woodfired Wagon LIVE MUSIC: 12.00 to 3.00pm Millie and Harry Music Millie & Harry are a vocal and guitar duo who perform live music around the Riverina. They perform easy listening covers of all genres at weddings, functions and cafes/restaurants. 3.00 to 6.00pm Harry & Tom Harry & Tom are an acoustic duo from Wagga. They keep busy throughout the Riverina playing at almost anything. They have regular slots on both Hit FM & Triple M. The boys have also worked along side Chocolate Starfish, Diesel and Tom Burlinson. 6.00 to 8.30pm Vino + Vinyl Nick Stanbury, originally from Sydney has a love of vinyl records! (Some may say obsession). Nicks favourite music includes all things funk and soul from the 60/70s but knows how to fill a dance floor with all the hits, and isn’t afraid of shaking it to Beyoncé as needed. Nick currently lives in Wagga Wagga with his wife and young son running his business Vino+Vinyl - a celebration of good wine and good tunes. At this stage we will be open Friday’s, S...aturdays and Sundays and we will continue to expand our opening hours with time.
