24.01.2022 While it looks like just a driveway (because it is), what is actually happening here is the commencement of construction of one of our most enjoyable collaborations with clients - #mwadolphinsands The project itself is a tiny holiday studio set amongst dunes at Dolphin Sands; with a larger holiday home to come in the future. The driveway has been designed to minimise impact on the beautiful site, by sticking to the front boundary and being a drive-through to avoid large tu...rning circles required for fire trucks. 16.01.2022 Our small house project #mwadodgesferry - located on the busy corner as you enter Dodges Ferry, has caused much discussion for the locals! Where are the windows? Is it facing the wrong way? Is this the recently-publicised black box for the world? It is in fact the very clever response by @thresholdconstruct while waiting for the triple-glazed windows from @unilux_aus (still quicker from Germany than Derwent Park!)... Wholly-cladding the building has allowed work to continue inside, to the extent that only the final fit-off will remain once the windows are finally installed, next week. The cladding will simply be unscrewed and the windows slid into place. Can’t wait!! 12.01.2022 #mwanewtown is a small extension to a small house we create for some wonderful clients back in the day (2015) - they always planned to extend when they had kids - now the TWINS have grown and its time for more room! The addition sits close to the busy street, creating a new bedroom and sitting space, while the heavy masonry shelters the existing house and garden from the noise. The stepped facade form reflects the neighbouring cottages with verandas in front of high tables.
