24.01.2022 Zak Kirkup and I announced today that the WA Liberals will deliver a new ocean pool at Rocky Point to give local families another location to get outdoors and spend time together. Bunbury locals deserve a safe place to swim and enjoy our amazing coastline, and our hardworking tourism operators deserve a world class attraction that will help reboot their businesses and create local jobs. The pool will be iconic to Bunbury, tied in with the historic Basalt rocks it will be uniq...ue in WA and the first step in developing our coastline, attracting commercial investment and unlocking Bunburys true potential. We have committed $3.5 million for this fantastic project and we will work with the City of Bunbury to build it within our first term of Government. We are committed to growing Bunbury. It’s time to take Bunbury forward and deliver this attaction that will be enjoyed for generations to come. See more

24.01.2022 I decided to run for the seat of Bunbury because I want to see things get done here. Bunbury has more potential than any other city in Australia. I want to change how we do things. With genuine collaboration Bunbury can surge forward, create amazing opportunities for ourselves and bring new people in to make our City their home. I choose to go big, we have seriously good people here with great ideas who need that represented in Parliament. Regardless of who is in Government, I can provide that voice for Bunbury. No looking back, only forward at the exciting city Bunbury can become.

23.01.2022 This is why the current election is about strong local representation. The announcement yesterday of a dedicated high tech advanced manufacturing hub in Kwinana has again left us in the South West short changed. This facility MUST be in the SW. We have Albemarle here in Kemerton which is the perfect place to move further downstream in the Lithium battery process. We have an under utilised Port, that would be ideal for export into the International market. The City of Bunbury ...has a detailed plan for a Digital Innovation District. Our voice is not being heard. Who is there fighting to bring these opportunities to Bunbury and the South West? We cannot keep plodding along, these industries MUST be located down here and stop the Perth centric mentality of the current Government. I want these jobs here, I want the research facilities here. It makes geographic and economic sense for this to be built in Bunbury and the South West. I will fight to have our case for this heard. See more

22.01.2022 We need a plan to keep our young people in Bunbury and the South West Region! A plan that makes sure they get the right kind of education and training, can find jobs and stay in Bunbury to start their lives. The Shadow Minister for Education and Training gets this and recently joined me to discuss the future needs of training and education in Bunbury.... I will fight for more opportunities for our young people so they stay in our community to study, live and raise a family. Donna Faragher MLC

21.01.2022 Great to catch up with several local businesses at Total Network Engineering last night. A very informative evening, discussing the importance of being digitally nimble and bringing innovation into local industries. The ability to provide these services locally is critical to South West businesses competing and staying cyber safe.

21.01.2022 Around the grounds on Sunday. First stop Bunbury United vs Dalyellup competing in the South West Premier League Soccer. Then off to the footy at Hands Oval to watch South Bunbury Tigers play the Harvey Bulls. Congratulations to South Bunbury on their first win for the season.

21.01.2022 There is never too much you can do to help. If anybody you know seems to be struggling just taking the time to listen can mean the world. Never hesitate to ask R U OK? #ruokday2020

18.01.2022 Was great to be at the Bunbury Aero Clubs monthly breakfast this morning. Excellent breakfast and got to meet some good people for $10!! Ian from Dunn Aviation also gave myself and James Hayward a tour of the hangers and a viewing of the water bombers that get used when fire breaks out.It was a great insight into the response times and the dedication of the guys who keep us safe and protect our properties. We have some selfless people in our community who are committed to keeping our region safe and a better place to live.

17.01.2022 Sport is the backbone of regional communities. It brings people together from all backgrounds and all walks of life. It instils a sense of community and teamwork, a feeling we are all in this together. As part of the plan to grow Bunbury, I want to bring elite sport into the city, improve the existing facilities, and make Bunbury the Regional sports capital of WA. I have played sport my whole life and have experienced first hand the benefits it brings. We are committed to: ...$12 million upgrade to the SWSC. This includes 3 new indoor courts for all users, a multi purpose hall, new change rooms and a national standard stadium for indoor sports. $800,000 for LED international standard lights at the Bunbury Hockey Stadium. Restoring the funding pool to assist sporting Clubs to $20 million (CSRFF) Sport brings large economic and community benefits to the city. We need to aim big and make our voice heard. Bunbury deserves the infrastructure of a second city, and I will fight to make sure we receive it. #southwestsportscentre #bunburyhockeystadium #bunburybasketballassociation #bunburynetball #bunburyvolleyball

16.01.2022 Good day today! Polling booth morning and afternoon and Bunbury Cup inbetween! Great to see many out enjoying themselves. Always a highlight of the year and usually a good night as well. Enjoy Bunbury!!!

15.01.2022 Called in to watch the juniors at the Rec Ground. Country South West playing Hale school. Some talented Bunbury youngsters playing. The standard is quality and great to see the country boys doing well against their city rivals. Beautiful ground for sport in Bunbury as well, perfect way to showcase the City.

14.01.2022 I was fortunate enough to attend an event hosted by Albemarle last week, I also caught up with Murray-Wellington candidate Michelle Boylan and Shadow Minister for Water; Industrial Development; Lands and LA Opposition Policy Coordinator Dr David Honey. We discussed ways to support Albemarle and attract further investment into Kemerton to bring Jobs to the South West. Albemarle are looking at the first intake of their operations workforce. This will be around 300 full time jobs at completion, providing long term employment opportunities here in Bunbury.

13.01.2022 Bunbury needs a plan for local jobs, that’s what our community is telling me! I’m listening to our community as part of your local Liberal team to understand what matters most to you and your family. So, I invited the Federal Jobs Minister to Bunbury to meet our local businesses and hear what they need in the recovery from COVID-19. ... Nola Marino, who has been fighting for our community for so many years, joined us too. Let’s back our local small and family businesses to help them get ahead and create local jobs. Senator Michaelia Cash Nola Marino MP

13.01.2022 Great day watching soccer at Dalyellup. Also had a fantastic opportunity for some in-depth and engaging conversation with members of the local Dalyellup community. Congratulations to Dalyellup beating Busselton 3-1.

12.01.2022 Great night at the Summit Realty Charity Dinner. What these guys do to bring people together and raise funds for charity is exceptional. A huge congratulations to all involved. Was a top night and raised a lot of money for great causes.

12.01.2022 Great crowd despite horrible weather for the Association Hockey Grand finals. Managed to have quality discussion with the Association President and several players. It’s important we keep our facilities to standard and look to increase the numbers year after year. Sport is the backbone of local communities, brings us together and helps showcase our great city.

12.01.2022 Pleasure to be at the Tea Cosy Cafe Rejuvenation opening today for morning tea. The members and volunteers repainted and redecorated the cafe and dining area. Our senior citizens are a treasure to our city. It’s really a great place full of lovely kind people. Bev Buck and her team do an incredible job up there. Go in and have a coffee and a sandwich to support all the members at the Bunbury Geographe Seniors and Community Centre.

09.01.2022 Creating more jobs and ensuring local contractors are part of large projects has never been more important for Bunbury. Under the Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee, "local" will mean local, ensuring WA small and family-run businesses are given preferential treatment and the opportunities to create more jobs here in WA. Labor's bungled local jobs law defines local businesses as "suppliers of goods produced, or services provided, in Western Australia, another State, a Territory or ...New Zealand". Recently, this has meant $9 million worth of small business contracts that could have been done by WA businesses and workers were awarded to eastern state companies. The Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee ensures local means local, keeping local jobs and profits here in WA for a quicker and stronger economic recovery.

08.01.2022 Beautiful night in Bunbury! Had a great time talking to the people out having a drink and some dinner, or out for a relaxing walk. We live in a unique part of Australia, the potential here in endless.

07.01.2022 Was lucky to join Jane Goff- Liberal for Collie-Preston, Senator Slade Brockman and Ben Small at Bunbury Ten Pin Bowling for Wa Isports Inc weekly night of bowling. Wa Isports Inc provide opportunities to participate in numerous sports in the South West Region for those with an intellectual disability. The chance for the guys to get together, play their favourite sport and enjoy each other’s company is amazing to see. The benefits Isport are providing to the group are enormou...s and another example of the importance of sport to our community. 06.01.2022 When I’m out talking to residents, the feedback is that there is something missing in Bunbury. We have some of the most beautiful coastlines in the world - like the amazing Dolphin Discovery Centre that showcases Koombana Bay. But it’s time that Bunbury adds something iconic, something that takes advantage of our beautiful ocean views, natural coastline and will help boost local jobs at the same time. ... I'm fighting for an ocean pool in Bunbury! It’s time we take advantage of our amazing, unique coastline and in the process bring tourism back to Bunbury. This will create local jobs so our community remains the best place to live, work and raise a family.

I Would like to thank all our special guests for the night - Senator Matt O’Sullivan, The Hon. Nola Marino, The Hon. Steve Thomas, Senator Michaelia Cash, Ian Goodenough MP, Libby Mettam MLA and all the candidates It’s humbling to have the support of such highly regarded members of the Liberal party across all levels of government.

03.01.2022 Had the whites on again today out at Dalyellup Cricket Club, 3 games being played at the High School Facilities. Cricket has been a major part of my years in Bunbury and opened up countless doors. Sport is a great unifier, it is the essence of community and a great way to get a feel for the community needs and concerns. Was great to talk with the Dalyellup boys after the game today, like we do every week after every game against every team here in Bunbury.
