22.01.2022 Last night City of Marion Councillors reviewed the The Cove Football Club Inc. The Cobras have worked hard to implement change and last nights decision reflects this. I congratulate President Tony Kernahan and his committee for the work they have done. I look forward to continuing to work with you all!

22.01.2022 Today marks two years since I was elected as your local Councillor for the City of Marion. It has been an honour to serve my community. It has also been a great privilege to serve with Cr Maggie Duncan. Maggie has taught me many valuable lessons from her vast life experiences. I am very thankful for her. I also thank the residents and local groups for their constant support. Here’s to the next two years!

18.01.2022 Several SA Councils are seeking 0% rate rises for their 2020/21 Budgets. Last night at a publicly streamed forum I said I would like us to consider a 0% rise. If Marion passed a 0% rise that would mean we wouldnt pass on a roughly calculated average rise of $24. Would this assist your household budget? We will publicly consult on our draft budget, but until then tell me what you think by voting in my poll, leaving a comment, sending me a message or email: [email protected]

17.01.2022 Westall Way Reserve about to get upgraded. Consultation is now underway! Cr Maggie Duncan and I regularly discuss our reserves and this is a win for Sheidow Park! Maggie has tirelessly fought for this reserve and worked closely with residents, local groups and Sheidow Park Primary School.

13.01.2022 Council has endorsed a Draft 2020/21 Budget with a 0% rate rise! A final endorsement will happen in late May or early June. This was decided via our first official Electronic General Council Meeting.

12.01.2022 Applications for the Youth Collective Committee are open! Apply Now, this will be a great opportunity to engage with Council! In 2019 my first Motion as a Councillor was to seek a report on the re-establishment of a Youth Committee. A report was completed, after consultation, and then Council funded this committee! 11.01.2022 The City of Marion is currently consulting the community on the future re-development of the Cove Sports and Community Centre. Council is committed to supporting and maintaining the current clubs that utilise the site, and with the future departure of Soccer and BMX to Majors Roads Sites (likely mid to late 2021) it is a great time to consult and seek your thoughts! 11.01.2022 Yesterday I joined David Speirs MP and Woodend Primary School to plant a Claret Ash Tree along the new path through Sheidow Park. The path was funded by the State, built by the City of Marion. The trees are jointly funded. This is a great addition to our area!

09.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS: The City of Marion just passed the 2020/21 Budget with a 0% Rate Rise. Based on a initial proposed rise of 1.6%, this is nearly $1.65 million we are not collecting in extra rates! A win for the whole community!

Council has a proven history of spending and developing our sporting sites. Creating spaces for the future and helping to assist clubs meet the amazing growth rates, especially in female sports!... The results from the survey do not necessarily mean the changes suggested will occur.
