25.01.2022 Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing my previous wedding clients and dear friends, Jess and Matt! It was a beautiful day at the Arboretum, and I had a great time hanging out with them, as I always do! When was the last time you and your significant other had photos together? 25.01.2022 Did you know there's a magical dragon in my camera that kids love to laugh at? These sweet kiddos and I decided the dragon was green, and made silly noises AND roared! I love making up games during your session, tailored to what your kids react to! Sometimes it's fake sneezing or coughing, sometimes it the dragon in my camera, and other times, I end up taking off my shoe and smacking myself on the head! ANYTHING to get these sweet smiles for you to have to look back on!!

23.01.2022 I couldn't resist taking the camera out to capture this gorgeous sunset after the storm, this is the view from my front yard! Canberra has breathtaking sunsets, I'm so lucky I live here in this beautiful city!

23.01.2022 It's that time of year again, getting to photograph the winning pets for Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT annual pet calendar! This is my 3rd year participating, and I absolutely LOVE being a part of the project!! Today, I got to meet Peeps, and one of his pretty little feathered friends!! I have a few more pets to photograph for this project over the next couple weeks, so keep your eyes out for some of Canberra's most loveable pets!... I'll also post a link on how to purchase a calendar once that's live, because who wouldn't want to see these beautiful faces year round?

23.01.2022 Tiny little Bowie really hammed it up for her session today for the Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT calendar photo shoot! This little girl is still a baby, and has the cutest little twitchy nose that I just wanted to kiss!! DVCS and the employees and volunteers do such amazing work, helping families in crisis. It's endless work, and they do a beautiful job making sure families are helped in their time of need, keeping them safe and giving them resources to move forward after their crisis. You can support them and their amazing work by buying a calendar! I'll post the link where you can order your copy when they go up for sale!

22.01.2022 This handsome boy deserved a post of his own after trying to steal the spotlight during his family's session! Toby was full of beans, and kept me laughing by him trying to take whichever human that was on the other end of the leash on a walk!

17.01.2022 A few months ago, I entered an international photo competition, where over half a million photos were entered! I'm super proud of my results!! Of course, my former foster kittens stole the show, but who could blame them for bring so adorable?!? Here were my results, 16 photos placed of 50 entered!!!

16.01.2022 I was over the moon when Gabi and Joel got engaged, and even more over the moon when they asked me to photograph their engagement session!!! These two took care of my fur babies for me during a rough time, and I'm pretty sure my fur babies loved them more than they love me! We had beautiful weather, though a little chilly, and their love just shines through in their photos!!!

14.01.2022 I had a great time with this family yesterday, welcoming their newest family member with some portraits! Little Miss has two doting big brothers, who were itching to hold her and give her kisses! The boys also insisted on holding their cat for a photo too, "because she's our family too!" 14.01.2022 It was a chilly morning, with a last second change of location thanks to a marathon blocking all the roads to where we were going for Plan A... and Plan B... But 100% worth it to surprise the grandparents with family portraits for their birthday with the whole family!! Isn't the spread they put together beautiful?!?

13.01.2022 I got to photograph a fluffy cow with better hair than me for the Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT calendar!! Angus was gorgeous, though he wasn't quite sure why there was a stranger in HIS pasture! It also decided to start raining on us, we powered through though and got some lovely photos!

11.01.2022 I photographed another milestone for this beautiful family this afternoon! I've documented Alessio's life since he was a newborn, and his cheeky personality just makes me laugh!! I can't wait to meet the newest edition in a few weeks, I'm sure this baby will be just as beautiful and perfect as his or her big brother!

11.01.2022 Miss Hazel had a great time at her 1st birthday cake smash today!! I had trouble narrowing it down to just these photos!! She was quite the sticky beak, curious to see what everyone else in the park was doing! Such a darling little girl, full of character and kept us laughing with her silly faces!! We all got sticky high fives from her after she dug in to her cake!!... Did you know all cake smashes come with family photos too?!? What a perfect way to document surviving your first year of parenthood with your sweet little munchkin!!

Sabrina and Ben are so dear to me, and I love that their grandparents came along for photos as well! 08.01.2022 I had SO much fun with this sweet family the other night!! We sang together, ran out the crazies (the girls did!), laughed and made silly faces, my shoe kept attacking my head, and at the end, spoke with 2 of Santa's Elves!! (Thank you Jess and Liz!!!) I just LOVE how much each girls' personality shines through in the photos, family photos are all about capturing these fleeting moments and stages, and these girls made it easy!

01.01.2022 Meet Draco! Draco is a Waler breed horse, that is listed on the rare breeds list in Australia! He was selected for the calendar contest for Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT and I was lucky enough to be given him as one of my pets to photograph! Walers were well known as war horses, as they bonded very closely to their carer, and were bred to withstand extreme climate changes and known for their endurance, even when in stressful conditions or fatigue. Draco is a direct d...escendent of these horses, which is rare to find nowadays! Isn't he a stunning boy?!?

I often get asked if pets are allowed in the sessions, and that is a HUGE YES from me!! I have a little zoo myself, and completely understand that your pets are also a part of your family! This session was extra special to me as well, because the last time this family had portraits taken, my late husband, Matt, was the one who took those portraits. I was SO honoured that this family asked me to take their portraits this time!
