12.01.2022 2020 is proving to be quite the challenging year for year 12 students, but thankfully Mitchell is getting to celebrate his achievements at his school formal tonight. 07.01.2022 Thank you and Happy New Year! Firstly I have to start with thank you to all my amazing clients who have worked with me in 2020. I am for ever grateful. 2020 was an absolutely crazy year filled with lows but thankfully Matt Edwards Photography was filled with many more highs. I remember starting the year in a very negative head space thinking how will I make my business succeed and grow and then covid struck and I hit rock bottom. With support from my family and also my networ...king group, I dug deep and adapted to the covid way of life and my business excelled. Not having a chance to stop and have down time during covid, I am thankful that my real estate photography kept me afloat during the pandemic when clients were postponing their weddings until 2021. Adapting to offer virtual tours for my agents, and continuing to photograph properties, it was this flexibility and adaptation that set up the last half of the year. I am thankful that from October our beautiful country was starting to get a little bit or normality and weddings were celebrated again, year 12 students were able to have formals in November and then families wanted to update their portraits before Christmas. This Christmas and New Year period is the first in 8 years of Matt Edwards Photography that I have taken time off with my family and it has been amazing. 2020 you have been a year not to forget and a year I am thankful for. I cant wait for what 2021 will bring but also taking more time to lay on the trampoline with my beautiful wife Melinda, and our two adorable, crazy, loving and cheeky boys. I hope everyone has a fantastic 2021 and I look forward to sharing the adventure with you all. Matt. 2020 by the numbers. 06.01.2022 What a week it has been! 12 houses photographed, a Year 12 formal shoot, co-presenting with Nury Barros to our networking group about Google My Business, preparing for next week’s wedding, and the best part... having Matt - a high school work experience student come along for the week to get some insights into what it’s like to run a small photography business. It’s been a tiring week but getting Matt involved in some of this week’s shoots has been super rewarding. Now for some well earned R&R this weekend. Have a great weekend everyone.

04.01.2022 Thanks to everyone that sent through their good luck vibes on Tuesday for the awards. It so happened to be that Tuesday night there were 2 award nights happening at the same time and I am proud to reveal I placed in the top 10 for the Brides Choice Awards and Top 16 in the ABIA Weddings Australia Awards. Its certainly been one crazy year with weddings postponing, but I can not thank my brides and grooms enough for taking the time to vote for me and trust me with capturing the biggest day of their lives. I absolutely love photographing my couples big day and I can not wait for a busy 2021. Thank you Matt.
04.01.2022 In my spare time (which isn't often) I like to dabble in Astro Photography. I had this particular photo in planning for 2 years as finding the right time of the year for the Milky Way to be in the correct position and then also for clear nights with no clouds can take some planning and luck. Thankfully all the stars aligned (pun intended) to capture this photo of the new @mazda BT50 for @Wippells Mazda Toowoomba. To me owning the new Mazda BT50 would lead to many amazing adventures in our beautiful country and capturing more magical moments like this. What do you think?
