22.01.2022 There's been numerous studies on the benefits of expressing gratitude. From improving relationships, to reducing stress, increasing self esteem, to releasing dopamine and serotonin in our brain. The benefits are amazing physically and mentally. When we focus on the good in our life, something as simple as that delicious cup of coffee in the morning can become the focus of a deep gratitude practice; where the beans came from, the hands that harvested it, roasted it, ground it..., packaged it and the amazing journey it's been on to end up in your cup. When we practice gratitude, we find more to be grateful for. I invite you to take time each day to focus your attention on what you're grateful for, whether it be a simple thought process to self, journalling or expressing to others. Today I am grateful for: Where I live, my friends, family and my wonderful clients (And of course the coffee I am sipping) What are you grateful for?
22.01.2022 Sometimes people ask me if Hypnotherapy actually works. After long explanations I’ve now condensed it down to It works, if the person wants it to. Hypnotherapy does work, if the person genuinely wants the change! As much as I’d love to be, I’m not magic! I don’t have control over my client’s mind and I can’t make people do things that they don’t want to do!... I am simply a facilitator. I guide people to where they need to go, provide tools and processes to assist in releasing things that no longer serve them, and help upgrade beliefs, subconscious programs and perspectives. They’ve got to bring the desire to change, and the commitment to the process! With desire, commitment and time, anything is possible

06.01.2022 Mindset Monday How do you pay your bills? Do you reluctantly pay them on deadline with a feeling of resentment? Or do you pay them with an attitude of gratitude? ... It’s funny how we humans have frustration towards paying bills. I mean, we know our registration needs to be renewed each year, our electricity every quarter, and our phone bill every month. We know these bills come in and yet we still feel negative or frustrated when they arrive, that’s pretty amusing! Paying your bills doesn’t have to be so painful, when you choose to look at them with a mindset of GRATITUDE I know, it sounds strange, but stay with me. The electricity bill you’re dreading paying for, change that perspective to. how fortunate you are to have access to power! The basic necessities for living comfortably like lighting, heating/cooling and cooking! Plus the added luxury of power to your TV to watch all your favourite Netflix shows The car registration payment coming up. how fortunate you are to have a working vehicle to get you from A to B! The phone bill you keep putting off paying. how fortunate you are to have a device to stay socially connected to your loved ones, near and far. Communication at your fingertips! The reality is, bills will keep coming. You have the choice in how to view them When you get in the habit of counting your blessings, you find even more in your life to be grateful for!

29.11.2021 When you focus on what could ‘go wrong’ you miss out on what is going right. I’ve been there. you’re feeling good, things might even be going well and then a sense of dread sets in, and you’re waiting for something to go wrong (and majority of the time it doesn’t) so you end up wasting all your energy worrying when you could have been enjoying yourself! It’s a protective mechanism I see people doing a lot! Expecting and preparing for things to go wrong. This mindset is a t...hief of joy and stops you from enjoying your life and moving forward. As humans, it is inevitable that we will experience hardships, and no amount of worrying and preparing will make those times easier. When you get to those points in life you’ll probably be thinking I wish I had enjoyed. The money I had, the time I had, the moments with that person I loved Sometimes through no fault of our own, we experience a string of hardships. As they compile, we might even take on certain beliefs/ ideas that we’ve somehow deserved it or think that things will always go wrong for us. We take it personally. The good news is this, through Hypnotherapy, we can address those beliefs! We can heal and reframe previous hardships and we can bring in a mindset of gratitude and positivity so you can begin focusing on the good in your life. 12.11.2021 Making the most of lock down. Emotions can be high during these times. Make self care a priority & take the opportunity to do things you enjoy. - Feeling overwhelmed? Write it out! Journaling can be so beneficial, write whatever you need to, emotions, ideas, thoughts, get it on paper! - Overactive/racing mind? Do some guided meditation or breathing exercises. Haven’t meditated before? No problem, YouTube is a wonderful resource!... - Feeling flat? Enjoy a home spa day! Light incense or a candle, enjoy a bath, a facial mask, exfoliate, wash your hair, moisturise, enjoy a cup of tea in a comfy dressing gown. - Body feeling tight? Do some yoga! New to yoga? All good, YouTube is a wonderful resource! Be gentle with yourself. - News reports getting you down? Listen to some uplifting music or enjoy an inspiring podcast! - Feeling bored? Get creative! Paint, draw, sketch, macrame, dance, sing, play an instrument, a board game, cook, bake, pick some flowers & arrange them to brighten your home! - Feeling lonely? Phone a friend! We have amazing technology at our finger tips! Connect with your loved ones & support each other. - Feeling stuck? Tidy or rearrange a room! Create flow & a new perspective in your home. - Body feeling lethargic? Drink good quality water to hydrate, improve digestion & energy levels. Nourish your body with healthy foods that make you feel good. - Feeling tired? Rest! Have a day nap, watch a movie with your feet up. Give yourself permission to rest. - Feeling disconnected? Get in nature! Do some gardening, get your hands or feet in the earth & ground yourself! Don’t have a garden? Take a walk in nature, breathe the fresh air, listen to the birds, place your hand on a tree or go barefoot on the grass to connect. - Feeling under-stimulated? Read! Books, articles, ebooks, inspiring blogs! Study something new or read a fun novel! It’s okay to feel uncomfortable in this time! There is uncertainty in the world at the moment. 30.10.2021 Failure gives us the opportunity to reflect and learn. It’s not a representation of our worth as a human. We are worthy regardless of achievements and success. When you look at failure objectively instead of personally, you allow yourself the opportunity to learn and grow It’s okay to fall down and get back up again, it’s how we learned to walk When I reflect on past mistakes, I choose to see them as lessons, and from there I can move forward with insight and inspiration
