24.01.2022 Some great news from today's COVID update! As I understand it, these are the major changes coming into effect from essentially tomorrow onwards. A further easing of restrictions have been marked for Sunday the 1st of November, subject to cases remaining around the levels they have for the past few days (hopefully even lower!). ... Stay safe everyone, this is so tough on all of us but the light is at the end of the tunnel. EDIT: the 3rd dot point should say that 10 people can gather in an outside setting. Only from the 1st of November can 10 people gather in a house. I've also found another concise summary of the changes from tomorrow and from the 1st, I'll post that in the comments.

15.01.2022 Throwback Thursday! A little over a month ago I held this Facebook Live Q&A (skip to 40 seconds in for the start) and I was blown away by the feedback! I'd be happy to do more things like this if elected, bringing local news to residents in all different ways is very important to ensure your Councillor is listening to you and it also helps keep them to account. ... We need a Councillor who will bring the 21st century to Council and I look forward to getting straight to work if elected!

13.01.2022 I thought I'd share this timely article by Ruth McGowan on Local government elections and how to spot any "dummy" candidates. It's an insightful read and still very relevant, definitely read the whole article but the below is my favourite bit. "Ms McGowan said there were some tell-tale signs of stooge candidates, such as them having little to no online media presence, no contact details, and potentially even the same spelling errors on candidate statements as other dummy ru...nners." I wonder if there are any in Billanook

08.01.2022 ATTENTION: Keep an eye out for my candidate statement in your voting pack. I have attached it below so you can recognise it and have a read if your ballot hasn't arrived yet. The VEC has started to text and email residents to notify them that ballot packs are arriving. Don't forget to get in touch if you have any questions.
