25.01.2022 I'm a big believer in aligning myself with other creatives who have a passion for what they do. As I've said before, first impressions are everything so when I set out to create my branding I knew I wanted an eye catching logo and a great website to showcase my work. This is a key step in introducing potential clients to who you are and what you can do for them. Mark from Brainbox Media did an outstanding job for me. He understood what I wanted to achieve and had the patienc...e to work with me through each step to get to the final versions I'm proud of today. Voiceover is about so much more than just "having a nice voice". There are many facets to any business and often you need to find like-minded people to work together with you to achieve success. 25.01.2022 I read an interesting article today on the threat (or not) of AI on the voiceover industry. I must admit, its not something Id given too much thought to but after hearing more about it recently, I thought I had better read up on it. Having read the article Im not overly concerned about our futures. While technology continues to accelerate, the basis of this article explains that it remains a complex and intricate challenge to replicate the cadence, tone and most importantly, the emotion of the human voice. Brands and businesses need to connect with their audience and in order to do so effectively, the most vital tool available is a real human voice that can convey emotion, experience and subtleties. Whilst there will no doubt be uses for AI voices in certain applications, Im confident that the art of voiceover remains safe

This week alone has included phone messages for a wide range of businesses across Australia, a TV commercial for Audi, an explainer video regarding cybersecurity for the elderly, a small piece for a UK video on mail scams and a series of videos regarding hearing loss. Phew! Variety is indeed the spice of life! Wishing you all a relaxing weekend ahead.

18.01.2022 A new addition to the studio...after a run of bad luck with my previous studio monitors I decided to take a chance on these stylish Yamaha HS5s and they sound great!

I hope youre all staying safe and healthy during this difficult time we find ourselves in at the moment. Being a voiceover artist, Im quite used to self isolation as I spend most of my days at home, working inside a small acoustic isolation booth. So I havent noticed too much of a difference. However there are many of you out there who are noticing a big difference to their lives.... If youre finding the current situation to be particularly challenging, its important to sing out and speak to your friends or family. We all process things differently and we will all have a different experience of the current situation. I am still operating my business as usual and there are businesses out there that will still require voiceover work for a number of different scenarios... phone messaging, e-learning, online training, explainer videos and more. Voiceover is much more than just TV & radio commercials. So if you need a voiceover or know a business that would benefit from a professional voice, please dont hesitate to get in touch. 05.01.2022 How can it already be the middle of March 2019? Where did the start of the year go? What happened to summer? Well despite the lack of postings here, Ive been far from idle. This year has seen all sorts of projects on the go so far, including TV commercials for Solitaire Volkswagen, ongoing branding for JAX Tyres across the country, video narration for the aged care industry, meditation videos, a radio ad for Lexus and message on hold projects for a multitude of businesses all over Australia to name but a few! And thats in between touring the country with Echoes of Pink Floyd on a new tour celebrating 40 years of the bands iconic album The Wall. Life is busy but good let me know if I can lend a voice to your business. Id be happy to help.
