The WEF was a bit more cautious with its own prediction and put 2027 as year they would reach the tipping point." And this view from JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon: "This is my personal opinion, there will be no real, non-controlled currency in the world. There is no government thats going to put up with it for long ... there will be no currency that gets around government controls."" Or this view from MoneyGram VP Peter Ohser: Payments are already digital and real time. I can send cash using the existing rails. Its there and its real. [Digital currency] is not solving a problem Theres also a trust factor. People trust paper more than they trust data and that behaviour is not going to change.
