19.01.2022 SQUID JIG REVIEW- YAMASHITA EGI OH K As a keen angler, Fishing for Squid isnt just for food, its a great source of fun and a great way to get fresh bait. In the summer months I go fishing for squid at least 3 times a week so I need a jig that can withstand multiple snags and big Squid, this is where the Yamashita Egi Oh K jigs come in, Heres a few of their advantages. Size: When Fishing for Squid I usually fish from 1-5m of water, so I like using jigs from size 1.8 to 3.0. ...The great thing about Yamashita squid jigs in general is the amount of sizes that they have. The Egi Oh K is no exception, from using small 2.5 jigs all the way to 4.0 there are jigs for any fisherman. Another thing is to account for the depth you are fishing in.Sink Rate: As you know, Squid will attack the jig when the jig is free falling, which means the longer the jig is free falling, the more chance of getting a bite! The sink rates of the Egi Oh K are: 2.5: 5.0-5.5 sec/m 3.0: 3.0-3.5 sec/m 3.5: 3.0-3.5 sec/m Just another reason why these jigs will catch you more Squid. Cost: When buying a Squid Jig or Egi, many beginners go and buy jigs that are worth $5 but rarely catch fish and the cloth deteriorates quickly. The Yamashita Egi Oh K is the top of the Yamashita squid jig series. When buying a Yamashita Egi Oh K jig you are looking at paying around $25, which is fairly cheap for such a great jig. Colours: These jigs are available in 25 colours where 15 are available in all sizes, 10 in 3.0 and 3.5 and 8 in 3.5 and 4.0.The colours include Red Base, Silver base, Keimura Base, Glow Base and many more. Special Features: The Egi Oh K squid jigs have a few different features compared to the other jigs, these include: Hydro Fin Double Crown Hooks slightly turned Tin Sinker G-Flash When fishing for Squid the Yamashita Egi Oh K are my go to jig, do yourself a favour and go and get yourself a few, your catching rate will go sky high. 10.01.2022 Yamashita Egi Oh Q LIVE SEARCH Jig Review The Guys at Yamashita have put in many hours to bring you the Yamashita Egi Oh Q LIVE SEARCH. These jigs are specially designed with Stainless Steel Bearings in them which gives an irresistible sound for any Calamari in the area! Like many of the other jigs this range of jigs come in sizes 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5. They have many great features and here are just a few: A 600Hz Rattle in the body, Yamashita have found out that Squid here 600H...z the best which is how loud the jig will be in the water. Yamashitas Warm Jacket Cloth which stays warmer for longer which entices squid to attack the jig in more of an aggressive matter. Yamashitas Slim Nose design which lets the angler use less effort to get more action. - Yamashitas new Bone Plastic Material instead of a Plastic body which enhances the frequency of the rattle with the stainless steel bearings. The Yamashita Egi Oh Q LIVE SEARCH series of jigs come in 15 colours which will see you catching squid for bait, food and for fun. You can either fish shallow with the 2.5 jigs or fish deep with the 3.5 jigs, the choices are endless. I personally think that these jigs will revolutionize squid fishing not only in Australia but around the world, with Yamashitas first rattling jig it sure to be a success! If your a keen fisherman or just a beginner be sure to get your hands on these jigs and the jigs will prove their quality with the first cast! Ej ToddTaiki Natsume
