13.01.2022 Over swinging Are you loosing contact or struggling with direction? NB: Not necessarily a swing fault and some players sync it up better than others - however If you are loosing contact, fats and thins or struggling with directional control, check these basics below.... - Left knee Often when your left knee moves inwards (towards your right leg) can cause you to loose stability in your lower body. Why’s that important? - A strong lower base will allow your upper body to turn on a better pivot avoiding spine tilt or the DREADED reverse pivot. A spine angle leaning towards the target in the backswing will often be followed by a spine angle being reversed behind the golf ball through impact. Fix - Push your left knee forward towards the golf ball and feel a 3/4 length backswing. Float your left shoulder behind the ball. My client achieved this with his feeling of a punch shot swing. A solid backswing sets up a good foundation to transfer energy well into the downswing and into the shot Scroll across to see before and after positions. #golf #golfswing #swingchanges #swingtechnique #backswingchanges #golfinstruction #golfnerd #improvingyourgolfswing #golfporn #indoorsgolf @drummondgolf.deewhy

11.01.2022 The right foot back drill This is a great simple drill for players that are steep or over the top in their downswing. @aldcampbell was fighting a pull left with his right side (right hip) getting to high early into his downswing.... His right foot was also releasing too early. The outside-in club path was producing heel strikes and weakening his ball flight. Here’s how we shallowed out his downswing. - Dropped right foot back six inches - Takeaway - hands in club head out to create early space - From the top into transition we created a `tear’ drop shape or feeling - Right foot and right hip staying down and under the shot - Club path swing swinging to the right - We quietened his upper body and let his arms and hands naturally release while restricting his lower half NB: See tee to the right for reference His club head speed went up 5mph when performing the drill at only 60% speed #golfdrills #golftechnique #golfcoaching #improvingyourgolfswing #swingtechnique #golfporn #golfnerd #golflife #golfinstruction @drummondgolf.deewhy

10.01.2022 Finding 'the slot' for good impact. Most of us have a certain feeling in transition from backswing to downswing where we know we're in position to hit good golf shots! Interested to know yours I frequently here golfers say 'I'm trying to tuck the right elbow in on the way down, or pull down.'... Although we all have different thoughts or feels, I've always looked at the sequence in the golf swing by using the lower body well to shift and rotate while allowing the arms and hands to drop into the hitting zone. Similar to throwing a ball or skipping a stone. Lower body working and arms/hands falling - Action Right elbow tucked in - Reaction Let's hear your thoughts #golfswing #golfswingtechnique #golfswingfeels #golfinstruction #golfswingdriver #golfthoughts #swingthoughts #golftime #golfnerd #golfinglife #golfcourse #golfcoaching #golfaddict #golfgame #improvingyourgolfswing #golfshot #golfinglife See more

04.01.2022 Hole in one!! What a shot from @aldcampbell on the Par 3 10th hole (140m) at The Springs. Well deserved after some solid swing changes and improved golf this year ... #golf #golfswing #golfnerd #golfinglife #golfgame #golfaddict #golfcourse #golfshot #golfporn #golfholeinone #golfprogress @thespringspeatsridge

02.01.2022 Good work and changes here tonight from @curtbysea Faults - Backside moving in towards the golf ball (loosing posture) - Right leg, right knee firing too early towards golf ball... Reaction - Posture backed up and cramping club delivery - An exaggerated in-to-out club path resulting in pushes and hooks - Heavy contact Fix Wall drill - Player addressing backside against wall and allowing hands and arms to drop while maintaining contact with the wall. Feeling right leg stay quieter and right foot grounded for longer. Result - Holding posture better through shot, client could allow hands and arms to ‘fall’ and with quieter right side could begin to work club down the target line for straighter, cleaner golf shots
