24.01.2022 A great story from work - with Bendigo South East College's STEM students and the Bendigo Tech School making the national news over the weekend, covering the Jaunt Program a program which aims to inspire young women to take up STEM careers! They have been making significant progress in transforming an old Range Rover into an electric vehicle on our college grounds! We simply cannot wait to see the final product! Read more here: https://www.abc.net.au//electric-car-conver...sion-/100158150 Great work by Graeme Wiggins from the Bendigo Tech School who is running the program. Great work also by Tamara Marwood for her work in promoting the work of the Tech School, and thank you Sarah Lawrence from ABC Central Victoria for her wonderful article. #StriveForExcellence #EducationWeek #STEM #GirlsInSTEM #WomenInSTEM #Jaunt #Bendigo #BendigoSouthEastCollege #TechSchools #STEM

22.01.2022 Voting has now closed and what an incredible campaign it has been! It has been a unique campaign with several challenges. COVID-19 has been a huge factor on our campaign. The biggest (and perhaps the most important) part of campaigning that has been missing has been being with you in person to go through the issues and ideas which matters to you. Despite those challenges, it has been a rewarding and enriching experience. I want to thank all of the candidates that stood for el...ection for the Eppalock Ward and the City of Greater Bendigo. You have put yourselves forward to represent our community, one we all believe IS and CAN BE the most livable community in Australia. No matter the result, I wish you the best for what the future may hold. I also extend my thanks to the work of the councillors and council staff for their work over the past four years, and acknowledge the service of outgoing Councillors James Williams and Matt Emond. I want to thank all of my friends and family who have supported me during this campaign. This includes those who volunteered for my campaign. You know who you are, and I have really appreciated the strength and support you have given me. I want to thank my close family Tony, Theresa, Evan, Anthony, Paul, Maree, Sarah, and Emily (and Tippi, Abbey, and Oscar.) I especially want to thank Kate, my fiancé, for her unconditional love and support. There have been some tough times over the past few months, and she was there for me, along with Poppy and Holly of course! Finally, I want to thank you, the people of the Eppalock Ward and City of Greater Bendigo. Thank you for having your say on the future of our great city and region. Thank you to those who engaged with my campaign, providing me with your ideas and vital feedback. It will make our community stronger for the better. No matter the result, I am thankful for this experience. I have learnt even more about our wonderful community and will be a more active member of it going forward into the future. I am proud of our community. Thank you.

17.01.2022 Great to chat to Council of Greater Bendigo Youth Mayor Ryan Peterson and Youth Councillors Victoria Tangey and Annika Ritchie this afternoon. We spoke about many things, from the work of Youth Council to the issues that matter to young people. They are all BSE Alumni so it was great to hear about their time at BSE! The common themes from our discussion were Consultation, Engagement, Employability, Mental Health, and Wellbeing.... Since their inception, Youth Council have done a mountain of work and have made a solid contribution to our community, such as contributions to the Maklin Review and have previously organised community events attended by hundreds of people. Youth Council are making our city and region a better place, making sure young people are heard. 09.01.2022 It has never been a more exciting time for regional communities like the ones across the City of Greater Bendigo. People far and wide are looking to regions like ours for new opportunities and a new way of life. This week, the Bendigo Manufacturing Group members have committed to invest $300 million in the region for future opportunities and jobs creation. This is brilliant and a sign of confidence. We create a framework that encourages more private investment in new & existi...ng industries. The COVID-19 Pandemic has fundamentally changed life as we know it. Now is a rare opportunity to make substantial reform to make our community stronger. That is why it has never been more important to elect a councillor focused on a better, more sustainable, and liveable community for the people. We need a councillor who will bring new energy, enthusiasm, and commitment towards creating new opportunities We need a councillor who will work with you, provide genuine consultation and that your voice is heard, so we can deliver stronger outcomes for the community. #VOTE1 #EvansForEppalock #ListeningToYou #TakingAction
