04.01.2022 Round 2 wrap up! After finishing the 2018/19 season in L2 I decided this year I would step up into L1 with the big boys with a goal of top 16, with only 22 cars in L1 I moved the goal to top 8. After 2 battle rounds with Adam Wood and Adam May, I made it into top 16.... Battle round 3 was VS Aleks Kantarovski and based on points I made it through to top 8. My first elimination battle with Kale Scott was battle of the blue Scotts machines and I made it through to top 4. Top 4 battle was up against Kurt Penrose-Starr who had the highest points in his run and he unfortunately went off track during his lead. This meant I was now in the final against none other than the name everyone knows, Dale Campaign and given that I had made it past my goal I knew I had nothing to lose and to just go for gold. After 4 runs and both of us out of tread Dale took the win. Stoked to even get to top 8 in L1 and I can not thank these people enough who helped out! Sleeka Spares For the help with parts to get the car back up and running Scott's Tyres for the wheel alignment and tyres Thompson Insurance Services for their assistance getting me to the event Elite Fabworx for my new fuel setup Dad, Mick and solly who helped me leading up and on the day keeping me and the car going Spenny for being spenny and always helping anyone and everyone who needs it and has helped me to no end. Every single person who came up to me and made my day better than it already was, including those who helped me fix the car to get back out on finals. 01.01.2022 Alright drift friends I need some ideas! So obviously with the Ute I plan to compete soon and eventually build sponsors etc so with that requires a good name. So far my page is just Matty Ween Drift , which I don't mind but was hoping for something different and thought you peeps might be able to help? ... Fire away!
