25.01.2022 Here at Maudsland Dental Care we are lucky enough to own an OPG machine, (Orthopantomogram) which makes it convenient for our patients. This machine takes specific panoramic x-rays of the jaws which displays all upper and lower teeth. These x-rays are taken to help us see un-erupted teeth, wisdom teeth, bone loss and more. Over the COVID-19 closure, one of our dentists Dr. Caleb Park decided he would use his spare time during isolation to complete one of his childhood LEGO sets, but noticed he was missing four pieces! He had mentioned it briefly to Joanne at one of her appointments and she came back another day with the four pieces to complete his set! Thanks again Joanne! 02.01.2022 To our valued patients, Maudsland Dental Care is aiming to keep in line with the most up-to-date government and state-level safety recommendations during this Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Our main concern is ensuring we keep our patients and staff healthy, and for this reason we are following the recommendations by the Australian Dental Association.... As of the 23rd March 2020 the Australian Dental Association has advised that non-emergency/non-urgent aerosol-producing procedures should be deferred/postponed. This includes: Teeth cleaning Small, non-urgent preventative fillings Whitening & cosmetic procedures General, non-urgent procedures involving aerosols What is allowed: Examinations, check-ups and treatment planning Possible treatment if you are in PAIN or have a severe dental emergency If you have a dental concern requiring urgent treatment that could lead to a more serious problem Routine orthodontic appointments if undergoing current orthodontic treatment As mentioned, we are following these restrictions closely to ensure the safety of all our patients and staff.
