25.01.2022 Multi Bank Letterbox Repairs Maverick Maintenance repaired another damaged set of letterboxes in Joondalup after thieves forced open the front covers to steal letters etc. We replaced the flimsy 1mm covers with new 2mm stainless steel, new locks and numbers.

24.01.2022 Maintenance Tip! If you've just finished that fantastic tiling job remember one important thing - Keep spare tiles. We often get called to maintenance jobs where we need to replace one or two damaged tiles. If you keep spares in the shed, it makes the repair much easier and ensures the tiles match and keeps those repair costs down. Don't forget that grout, the correct colour match is also important......

23.01.2022 Patio Roof Repairs Maverick Maintenance repaired a damaged second level patio roof in Watermans Bay. The original roof was buffeted by high winds coming in straight off the ocean. We replaced the sheets with a combination of Colourbond steel and polycarbonate to allow light through with increased wind resistance.

20.01.2022 Sun Damage to Translucent Roof Sheets Our team were called to a job in Wanneroo where the tenants said the roof was leaking on the front porch. When we got onto the roof and touched the sheeting it simply fell in. The sheets were totally rotted and damaged from the constant sun exposure. We disposed of the old sheets, used the correct screws and neoprene washers and bingo, new water proof veranda.

17.01.2022 Rook Leaks Driving You Crazy? Persistent roof leaks can sometimes be caused by hidden damage. We recently went to a house in Tapping, where the owner complained the roof had been leaking for over 18 months and had several trades and maintenance people check it out. When we arrived, Maverick checked out the valley gutters underneath the roof tiles and found the problem - damaged sides to the valley, which in heavy rain allowed the water to run up and over the edges. 10.01.2022 Multibank Letterbox Repairs MMM Team were called out to damaged multibank letterboxes in Clarkson. What we found were the original aluminium flaps were no match for vandals wanting cheques and money from Christmas cards. We measured all the doors and ordered new ones, replacing the existing with 2mm thick stainless steel, costs a bit more than aluminium, but makes it a lot harder to get in.

09.01.2022 Great news for Maverick Maintenance & Makeovers - our company is now Cm3 Pre-qualified, giving us another addition to our safety commitment and staff training. Cm3 is a web based OHS/WHS prequalification system, developed to demonstrate health and safety capabilities to current and potential clients. Achieving this Cm3 prequalification consists of checking we have the right insurances as well as a comprehensive assessment of our safety systems in place including Safe Work Method Statements, equipment checklists and our trade licences. 09.01.2022 Roof Leaks & Storms Check your roof after all the storms we have have had this winter, especially if your ceiling looks like this one. The Maverick team were called to a house in Ashby. Tenants had complained about an ever increasing stain to the living room ceiling. We took one look and immediately got up onto the roof, only to find the tiles had been displaced by strong winds allowing water to enter straight into the roof space. The team did a fantastic job as this one required all debris to be carried out and down stairs as no elevator was available. After much sweat (And no tears) we completed on budget and on time - and best of all safely with nil injuries....

Answered the office phone one day and had an interesting discussion with a landlord, who stated their gutters on their investment property may need cleaning as rain water was leaking through the light fittings in the kitchen. We arrived at the job and phoned the owner straight back. We can't really see your gutters. They do need cleaning! actually your whole roof needs cleaning.....

06.01.2022 Supply and Hang New Door We received a call at the office, the home owner said her lawn mower and other house hold items in the storage shed in Joondalup were getting wet from rain. She was also worried someone could easily get in. We agreed with her and changed the door and re-fitted the hardware. She also told us, she wanted to paint the door herself and we reminded her the bottom of the door had to be painted to stop the same thing happening to the new door, good luck....

05.01.2022 Another storm damaged fence was replaced in Marangaroo by the team, this time is was the front yard dividing fence.

05.01.2022 Games Room Roof Leaking We attended a job in Duncraig where a games room addition to the main roof was leaking and allowing water into the games room. To rectify this we added the correct hook over flashing and sealed it with the correct silicone. Next we lifted the first row of roof tiles and added self adhesive bitumen flashing to prevent rain splashing over the rear of the gutter and dripping down inside the games room. Problem solved! Let the games continue.
