03.01.2022 Dave took a field trip with experienced local stock agent Brad Obst of Landmark East Gippsland Livestock who sources many of our beef cattle for our store from ...local farmers. They headed out to Ken and Craig Huttons property at Hillside to check out our 2nd consignment of these magnificent Mawarra bred Hereford steers. Beautifully fattened and finished on a rye grass crop, they will head up to Orbost and be processed by the team at Orbost Abattoirs. Hung in our cool rooms for 3 weeks to age and prepared by our butchers and placed in our butchers glass cabinet Love our local produce See more

31.10.2021 Hereford calves debuted at the prestigious Western District weaner sales in Hamilton on Tuesday, and captured the market price high for heifers at 750 cents per... kilogram liveweight. The steer run also posted formidable results as they were supported by repeat buyers from both the south and north, selling to a top of $2477 for March/April drop calves. 17.10.2021 Congratulations to the Sleigh family for topping the (dollars/head) purebred autumn drop Hereford offering at Wodonga yesterday. Their top pen of 390kg steers sold for $2,470/hd. They also won the Herefords Australia Champion Pen. The Sleigh family incorporate #mawarragenetics in their breeding program. Another #mawarragenetics client, Granite Flat Pastoral, topped the Black baldy steers with a pen of 21, March drop, 413kg, selling for $2,520.
