25.01.2022 Today marks 40 years since the very first wish was delivered in Arizona, USA to Chris Greicius, who wanted to be a police officer. 22.01.2022 We were so excited to catch our local wish child Lara on Bondi Rescue last week (Season 15 Episode 7) . During more than 800 days of cancer treatment, Lara often watched the show and dreamed of meeting her heroes in real life one day. We loved seeing the ultimate lifeguard experience she had with her heroes at Bondi Rescue and agree, Lara, you are what brave looks like!

21.01.2022 Eleven-year-old Tara has been on a hair-raising quest. The superstar from Sydney has been growing her hair for four years. She’s now ready to chop it off , donating her long locks to Variety Hair with Heart and raising money for Make-A-Wish. I am cutting my hair off because I am lucky to have long, beautiful hair, Tara said. I’m happy to donate my hair to such a good cause to help some kids whose hair is falling out.I am raising money for Make-A-Wish because I like tha...t they grant wishes to kids and make them happy. I like that Make-A-Wish puts happy smiles on their faces again. Tara knows a thing or two about Make-A-Wish: her mum Louise has been a volunteer for the past 18 years. Tara says her mum helps Make-A-Wish by raising money outside of Bunnings and granting wishes for kids. Proud mum Louise said Tara had a beautiful heart. She is a beautiful soul, she really is, Louise said. She saw something on TV many, many years ago and she said ‘Mum I want to grow my hair and do that’, and here we are four years later. 17.01.2022 Smooches with a caramel-coloured puppy is all Xavi wants. After having two serious conditions to deal with in as many years, hes more than deserving of some puppy love ! Like other kids, Xavi has had his wish postponed because of COVID-19. But his mum says the "good boy who always makes his bed and does his chores" cant stop asking about his puppy! 16.01.2022 Lego - Lego - Lego ! 7 year old Zachary’s wish was to go to Legoland in Melbourne. On the day of his adventure to the Legoland Discovery Centre in Melbourne , Zachary was able to have lots of one on one time with the staff and he loved the earthquake table saying things go everywhere !!... One of the other highlights was spending time at the Cat Cafe in the CBD What an adventure, Lego for the win!

11.01.2022 Theres a new ninja warrior in Brisbane! Pint-sized Juniper had her backyard transformed for her wish, with help from friends from our Make-A-Wish Australia - Brisbane South Branch. 09.01.2022 Were excited to learn that we were the crowd favourite and voted #1 for the December 2019 Local Matters at Grilld Eaton Hills . A big thanks to Grilld Eatons Hill for having our branch as one of the local charities for the month and an even bigger thanks to our local community for popping your tokens in our jar . Heres one of our amazing volunteers collecting the $300 donation that will go towards helping us to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
