21.01.2022 Were all doing it tough right now. But as COVID-19 continues to cause disruption and distress, front of our minds are the thousands of people who make up the ...Make-A-Wish family, including our wish kids, volunteers and supporters. Were taking every measure we can right now to keep our wish community safe. With much regret we have made the difficult decision to postpone some wishes over the next few months including travel wishes, experience-based wishes and celebrity meet and greets. We'll be in touch with all families on a Wish Journey with us to talk through what this means for them. Most community based fundraising events and volunteer activities are also on hold for the moment. Were heartbroken that we cant make some wishes come true over this period for children who need them. But what we can do is keep wish children positive and focused on the future through Wish Anticipation and showing our ongoing support. We can allow them to be creative, to express themselves and to be children (rather than patients). Our wish team are working at maximum capacity (remotely!) to ensure that each wish child is supported through imagination and creativity while they wait for their wish to come true. And, we remain absolutely committed to ensuring every eligible wish child on our program has the very best wish experience when its safe to do so. When this difficult period passes, Make-A-Wish will still be here to make wishes come true for the thousands of Australian children that need them. But, as our amazing wish suppliers, volunteers and partners get back on their feet, we will need your help more than ever to bring these wishes to life. 13.01.2022 Thanks to the Bundaberg Regional Council for their Micro Grant, we have been able to purchase purpose made bins to collect more Containers for Change at our local TAFE Queensland. We have raised over $2000 since the Containers for Change Scheme started, and we hope that these new bins will increase our fundraising in 2020.

03.01.2022 A big thankyou to everyone who helped us raise much needed funds for Make-A-Wish Australia during our annual Charity Day. A big thank you to Ergon Energy and Bu...rnett Darts Association Inc for their donations towards the total. Our total amount between all games, the raffles and the BBQ was $3000, the most amount we have made since hosting the event. Thank you again to all staff, players, umpires, volunteers and spectators who helped us raise such a large amount for the charity. We will see everyone again for next years Charity Day.
