25.01.2022 Do you know what a tabletop selfie is? Neither did we until wish kid Jack got to meet his idol, Brian May from Queen! Jack, 18, had taken up guitar during his... treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma and found jamming to the music of Queen had been a huge distraction and got him through some really tough times. Earlier this year his wish came true and Jack had the best time hanging out with Brian backstage before Queen's Melbourne concert, talking about all things music and guitar related, as well as Brian's life and career. Their chat ended with the awesome 'tabletop selfie' below! Jack could not believe the time he spent with Brian and told us it was the BEST night and something he will remember for the rest of his life

18.01.2022 Phew! After Perth airport was frozen today by the evil super villain 'Ice Man', our hero #SuperDylan saved the day. This fearless 12 year old with septo-optic d...ysplasia managed to unfreeze passengers, Qantas crew and staff, and he even thawed out a plane! His heroics were on full display as he defeated Ice Man in the ultimate showdown. Here's Dylan with our amazing friends at Qantas who have been working tirelessly to make this wish come true. A massive thank you goes to oOh!media, BP, Perth Airport, Network Aviation, Australian Federal Police and Qantas for their incredible generosity in making this wish a reality. See more

13.01.2022 We’re all doing it tough right now. But as COVID-19 continues to cause disruption and distress, front of our minds are the thousands of people who make up the ...Make-A-Wish family, including our wish kids, volunteers and supporters. We’re taking every measure we can right now to keep our wish community safe. With much regret we have made the difficult decision to postpone some wishes over the next few months including travel wishes, experience-based wishes and celebrity meet and greets. We'll be in touch with all families on a Wish Journey with us to talk through what this means for them. Most community based fundraising events and volunteer activities are also on hold for the moment. We’re heartbroken that we can’t make some wishes come true over this period for children who need them. But what we can do is keep wish children positive and focused on the future through Wish Anticipation and showing our ongoing support. We can allow them to be creative, to express themselves and to be children (rather than patients). Our wish team are working at maximum capacity (remotely!) to ensure that each wish child is supported through imagination and creativity while they wait for their wish to come true. And, we remain absolutely committed to ensuring every eligible wish child on our program has the very best wish experience when it’s safe to do so. When this difficult period passes, Make-A-Wish will still be here to make wishes come true for the thousands of Australian children that need them. But, as our amazing wish suppliers, volunteers and partners get back on their feet, we will need your help more than ever to bring these wishes to life. 12.01.2022 Charlie loves his sister Khloe. Charlie’s muscular dystrophy means his muscles are weak so Khloe will help dress her brother. However, like most siblings, they... can butt heads. Hayley was born with neurofibromato...sis, a genetic disorder which causes large tumours on her face, neck and back. Her mum Tina passed away from cancer in 2008, but held on just long enough to share Hayley’s wish trip to Queensland. Hayley’s wish for 2021 is a part-time job.
