19.01.2022 Even though her eyesight is failing, Charlottes vision for her wish was clear. Charlotte, 8, has a disease of the nervous system and sadly she is losing her vi...sion at an unknown rate. Her beautiful wish was to have a fairy garden she can visit in her backyard, which will bring untold joy for both her and her family. Since the latest COVID-19 shutdowns, Charlotte's wish is one of the few we've been able to grant. As Charlottes health was deteriorating, the Make-A-Wish community worked overtime to make sure it happened. 16.01.2022 Wheeler Heights Public School recently participated in our ‘Wear What You Wish’ gold coin fundraiser on behalf of Make-A-Wish. Excited kids dressed up and learnt all about how a wish can make a significant and lasting difference to kids with life-threatening conditions. Our enormous thanks for the support provided by the Principal, the staff and SRC and also for the generosity of the parents. Together the school raised $602, a fantastic result for a school of only 450 stude...nts. Since the Sydney North branch was founded 20 years ago, hundreds of wishes have been granted to seriously ill children on the North Shore/Northern Beaches. We simply wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of fundraising events like this. We’d love all of our local schools to get involved. Make-A-Wish Australia

Since then, more than half a million wishes have been granted world-wide to kids just like Chris. A special wish can replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. 08.01.2022 It was all aboard for Dylan's Wish! Eight-year-old Dylan is a train enthusiast, especially when it comes to diesel and freight trains, and more than anything he loves watching trains. For his wish, he wanted to see big trains, where they sleep and have an up-close experience. He is partially deaf, so a big part of why he loves trains so much is because he can feel the vibrations, so the closer, the better! Last September our friends at Southern Shorthaul Railroad in Bend...igo helped us bring Dylan's wish to life. Dylan got to spend the day with the team and had a rail-y good time behind the scenes. He loved seeing how it all worked and riding upfront of the train with his sister tooting the horn. By the end of the day, he was pretty much a qualified train driver (in our eyes at least) Dylan still loves looking at pictures and videos from the day so our awesome volunteers made a photo book and DVD for Dylan so that he could keep reliving his special day again and again! What a choo-riffic wish!

Aaron has watche...d Ghost Rider more times than he can count and it was a huge help getting him through his treatment. This week Aaron's wish was granted when he was able to video chat with his idol! They talked all things Ghost Rider, motorbikes, favourite foods and more. 06.01.2022 We are paw-sitive you will love this wish! 14 year old Vienna who loves animals and has always dreamed of having a dog, had no hesitation in making her wish for... a caramel Cavoodle puppy. Vienna who had lymphoma and underwent a bone marrow transplant, with her brother Luca being her brave donor, also wanted to be able to share her wish with her brother. She thought a puppy they can both love for many years was the perfect wish. Well little Indie made his way to Vienna and Luca last week and is already so happy in his furr-ever home. 02.01.2022 Wow, what a difference a year makes! Six year old John wished for a furry best friend called Fuzzy and this time last year his wish came true! John's mum Christine told us he and Fuzzy are having the best time together.... "Every day when John looks at his dog and remembers his wish, it makes him feel special and cared for," Christine said. "I think for John this was the perfect wish that he gets to enjoy every day. Especially in this time of isolation, this lovely puppy has been a huge support and distraction, a friend to the whole family, especially John".
