25.01.2022 We’re all doing it tough right now. But as COVID-19 continues to cause disruption and distress, front of our minds are the thousands of people who make up the ...Make-A-Wish family, including our wish kids, volunteers and supporters. We’re taking every measure we can right now to keep our wish community safe. With much regret we have made the difficult decision to postpone some wishes over the next few months including travel wishes, experience-based wishes and celebrity meet and greets. We'll be in touch with all families on a Wish Journey with us to talk through what this means for them. Most community based fundraising events and volunteer activities are also on hold for the moment. We’re heartbroken that we can’t make some wishes come true over this period for children who need them. But what we can do is keep wish children positive and focused on the future through Wish Anticipation and showing our ongoing support. We can allow them to be creative, to express themselves and to be children (rather than patients). Our wish team are working at maximum capacity (remotely!) to ensure that each wish child is supported through imagination and creativity while they wait for their wish to come true. And, we remain absolutely committed to ensuring every eligible wish child on our program has the very best wish experience when it’s safe to do so. When this difficult period passes, Make-A-Wish will still be here to make wishes come true for the thousands of Australian children that need them. But, as our amazing wish suppliers, volunteers and partners get back on their feet, we will need your help more than ever to bring these wishes to life. Write, video or photograph yourself sharing a message of hope - this could be a song, dance, chalk drawing or whatever else you can imagine! 05.01.2022 Great news!! The WISH WONDERLAND GALA in support of Make-A-Wish Australia, postponed from 2020 due to COVID, will be going ahead on 26 June, 2021 at Dockside... Darling Harbour. A fantastic evening awaits. All tickets secured last year remain valid. Thank you all so much for your generosity and patience. Breanna, our wish recipient, can't wait to meet you all. She is so excited that her wish to organise and attend a major masquerade ball, dressed in a beautiful ball gown, will finally come true in June.
