16.01.2022 We all love saving money, but sometimes what seems cheap can lead to expensive problems down the road. Cheap chlorine can be one of those misleading dangers. Chlorine is a gas, and so in order for us to be able to use it, it must be combined with something.... Some cheaper chlorine is combined with chemicals which when used too much, can cause a build up that can cause us water balance problems, it can even cause chlorine to be totally ineffective in our pool! Other cheap chlorine is combined at low rates meaning it is less effective in the water. Make sure you do your research before you buy, and don't for get to keep testing that water balance! At MAW Pool Maintenance we do regular pool servicing including complete water testing, why not give us a try today!

14.01.2022 Last year 45 people drowned in swimming pools across the country. Some of these were young children. Remember to check your pool gates and latches to be sure they are closing effectively, or have a self-closing safety gate system installed. It could save a life.

08.01.2022 RAIN! RAIN! RAIN! Did you know that the rain does more too your pool than just fill it up? The dilution of your pool water can greatly reduce your salt level. This can, in turn, mean your Salt Chlorinator can't convert chlorine effectively and can turn your pool water green, but worse still it can damage your equipment! And no one wants that! ... Make sure to check your salt level monthly if possible. Have a great avon descent weekend everybody!
