25.01.2022 Announcement Regarding Ishaa, Taraweeh, and Qyam InShaaAllah MAWU will offer Ishaa, Taraweeh, and Qyam at the prayer space (buiding 50) for only UOW STAFF and STUDENTS for the remaining nights of Ramadan according to the following times: 1 Isha and Taraweeh Prayers will start @ 7.30 PM and end around 8.15 PM.... 2 Qyam will start at 1:30 AM and end around 2.30 AM. Since we are restricted to only 10 worshippers at one time, a UOW student/staff member who wants to attend MUST register for each prayer earlier by sending SMS to a coordinator’s mobile number (0410482472) including the name and student/staff ID number. The registration will be opened daily for: Ishar and Taraweeh prayers @ 3.00 PM until 5.30 PM. Qyam prayer @ 9.00 PM until 11.00 PM. Allocation of places will be on a first-register-first-serve basis. Only one person can register from one phone number. The registration is compulsory for each prayer wanted to be attended. 19.01.2022 Announcement for Upcoming Friday Prayers <><><><><><><><><><><><> June 4th, 2020 For UOW STAFF and STUDENTS only:... The UOW has eased the restrictions on MAWU Prayer Space (Build. 50) to allow 36 persons per session inside the space. So, the earlier registration is not required for the upcoming Friday prayers. The Friday Khutabah will start @ 12.55 PM. Allocation of places will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please bring your prayer mat with you. Note that the internal Wudu (ablution) units are closed, so be prepared and wash beforehand. Names and mobile numbers need to be manually registered as per NSW government requirements before entering the space. The sister prayer section will be available after the Friday prayer ends. 10.01.2022 AssalaamuAlaykum All, In response to COVID-19 (Corona Virus) outbreak, MAWU would like to announce that: * Friday Khutbah starts at 12:55pm, and Iqama will be at 1:10pm, InShaAllah. * For the sisters, please do NOT attend. For the brothers, please do NOT bring children.... Kindly abide by the following instructions: 1. Refrain from coming to the prayer space if you have recently arrived from overseas until you have undergone 14 days of quarantine. 2. Refrain from coming to the prayer space if you are sick or have any flu-like symptoms. Seek medical advice. 3. Refrain from coming to the prayer space if you have a weak immune system. 4. Use the installed hand sanitiser when entering and leaving the building or wash your hands with soap. 5. Refrain from shaking hands or hugging. 6. Distance yourself as much as possible unless necessary. 7. Ensure to cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing (preferably by elbow or into a tissue and then dispose of immediately). 8. Bring your own prayer mat as a precautionary measure. 9. Refrain from coming early or staying inside for prolonged periods. 10. Vacate the mosque straight after Faraid (obligatory prayers) and pray the Sunnah and Nawafil at home. We appreciate your understanding and collaboration. 08.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE Building 50 Prayer Space closure COVID-19 23 March 2020 On Sunday 22 March, Federal and State Government announced restrictions of non-essential services including places of worship. In accordance with the restriction imposed, the UOW PULSE officially informed MAUW that the Prayer Space (Building 50) will be CLOSED from 12 pm Monday March 23rd. Therefore, the prayer space is now NOT available neither for daily prayers nor Friday prayers, neither in congre...gation nor individually, until further notice. The total number of worshippers allowed inside the building must not exceed 10 people, including the Imam. 2. The Wudu (ablution) unit is closed. Please make your Wudu before coming. 3. Please bring your prayer mat with you and don't forget to take it once you leave.... Note: Iftar (breakfast) will NOT be served in the remaining days of Ramadan due to some logistics and operational barriers. We appreciate your cooperation.
