11.01.2022 Whilst there has been significant interest in AI in healthcare over the past 5 years, precious little of the innovation has made it into the clinic. Regulators have a role to provide a platform for the translation of this innovation whilst ensuring there is absolutely no impact on patient safety. The current regulatory position actually delivers on neither of these objectives. Doing Machine Learning in production reliably and safely is hard. Doing so with the rigour and quali...ty demanded of a device making clinical decisions is even harder. That's why at Max Kelsen we're investing deeply in an MLOps stance which puts safety and quality at its core. Read more about our thoughts on building safe AI for AI as a Medical Advice below. https://www.innovationaus.com/regulators-must-step-up-on-a/
