23.01.2022 Thanks to our vendors for taking the time to write such a lovely review! "Hardest working, most positive agents in town!" "Max and Gareth are absolutely outstanding agents. Their work ethic is second to none. They manage to maintain optimism whilst being honest and realistic in the most difficult climates (Covid 19 lockdown!). They seem to work endless hours (Not sure when they sleep). They manage client expectations on both ends with integrity and their ability to create gen...uine relationships with buyers and negotiate a positive outcome for both vendor and purchaser is extremely impressive. The entire process was easy and the outcome in such a difficult climate was well above our expectations. If you want incredibly hard working, honest agents that gets results. These are your people!" 06.01.2022 Flashback Tuesday: 7 Years ago 61 Catherine Avenue Mount Waverley with the previous office. I've had the chance to work with some great people in the past both agents and vendors. My ethos has been simple; professional marketing/no corners cut, cast a wide buyer net and a super well run 4 week campaign. I've had some great mentors over the years too - Stay Safe.

05.01.2022 At OBrien Real Estate we are passionate about design and architecture, so we took our own advice and paired with Studio Martin for our office fitout. We highly recommend them for your next single or multi development design. Read the article below for a sense of who they are and why we love them.

02.01.2022 Thanking all our clients who supported us through our transition into business ownership under the OBrien Real Estate brand! Special thanks to my business partner Gareth Apswoude!

02.01.2022 Desperate times, strong measures - just like the pitfalls of low interest rates this is sure to fuel the struggling property market... "Responsible lending laws that fuelled a bitter court fight between the corporate regulator and Westpac will be scrapped for banks, which will be subject to less onerous credit rules to encourage the flow of loans and boost the economic recovery from the COVID-19 recession. In a shift from "lender beware" back towards traditional "borrower beware",

01.01.2022 "Right from the start Max was keen and hungry for the success, I could tell he was motivated and was hands on. Max kept us well informed and coached us transparently along the journey, while navigating all sorts of challenges. He showed agility and ability to shift strategy as required to ensure success. Our campaign was mixed due to local competition of new builds so there was a strong head wind. Max then knew how to play out the closure and we opted to settle prior to auction. looking at the weekend's results we are very happy. Thanks Max and team for getting the job done and not creating too much stress along the way. I will certainly be recommending you to friends thinking of selling" Thanks Rob and Liz

01.01.2022 The real victims of the blanket rule "one size fits all" approach by the Andrews government. No consultation leads to this: By the end of October, Emma Nicholls, her husband Mark, and their two young children are facing a very uncertain future. The Nicholls sold their family home in Sandringham a couple of months ago, just prior to stage four restrictions being implemented in Melbourne.... The restrictions, introduced in early August, have meant one-on-one inspections of properties are banned until October 26, leaving the couple, as well as other buyers in similar plights, unable to find a new home. We’re looking to downsize because our home has become too expensive for us so we’re looking for something a bit smaller, Ms Nicholls said. Their home settles at the end of October, leaving them no time to find a new home to buy once restrictions are eased. They are now hoping they can find a rental in the area sight unseen that will be suitable for them for the next 12 months but they estimate that by the time they actually buy a house, they will have lost thousands in rent money they shouldn’t have had to spend. We’re going to be wasting $50,000 to $100,000 on rent, not to mention the cost of moving twice, Ms Nicholls said. Potentially we’ll have to move to a different suburb and not be near schools and childcare.
