22.01.2022 IT IS HOT!!! just let the horses into the paddock with the small dam. Thought they'd like a swim... FaceTime Fiona so she can see them enjoying themselves.... They brush the dam, and going looking for things the alpacas may not have eaten - which is nothing... and on the way, my phone folded because of the heat!!! AHHHH!!!!

22.01.2022 1905hr. And these girls are still hard at work.

19.01.2022 Honey For Sale: We were going to enter the Royal Easter Show for the first time this year... so in honour of missing out on that fun (courtesy of a damn, micros...copic virus) we may as well sell what we were going to show. If you would like some honey (100% local, etc, etc) from one of hives, let Fi or me know. $15/kg in jars or tubs (minimum 500gm jars up to 3kg+ tubs) 500gm squeeze containers are $10ea (and these can be posted at cost - https://auspost.com.au/flat-rate-sending) And in the age of the introvert (ie me, ie social distancing) we can leave it at our front gate and you can swing past and pick it up - or post it (I think 2-3 squeeze bottles can go in a small box. EDIT: Pretty boring post with out the pics... so here are some, of the good stuff undergoing the only purification we put it through (which is filtering at room temperature) It is mesmerising to watch though. Just takes out any wax and pollen bits. And in case you didn't know we try and keep the honey separate from each of the hives. So you will get a jar with the name of the hive on it. Currently we have honey from the: "Mulberry Mob" - pictured (aqua/white hive), "Callistemon Crew" pictured (bottlebrush flowers on front), "The Flats", "Honey Bee Hive" pictured (Yellow/Black). "Regal House", "Hercules Hive" and "Mulberry Too" (two) will be in action in early Spring.

16.01.2022 Happy Good Friday!

11.01.2022 The swarm from last night... needed the branches of the hibiscus removed (the were put in with the swarm instead of shaking them all off). So we added the four missing frames, and replaced the lid as well. Before and after shots attached.
