24.01.2022 Trails update Our trail crews have been hard at it preparing all our new trails ready for our reopening, and we got there! Sadly though, heavy rain and brand new trails don’t mix. We’d been hoping the rain would hold off this morning but sadly it has not. We will unfortunately have to close Giddy Up (our new climbing trail) and our new network of lower mountain beginner trails for at least the next 2 days. Note that this means we will not be able to offer trail riding this w...eekend. We apologise to those hoping to experience these awesome new trails, but this one is out of our control! It’ll be worth the wait, we promise. We’ll still be opening a bunch of new and near new trails including The Local, Moss Def, Waratah and Upper Colour Blind. Note that Lower Waratah and Lower Colour Blind will not be open due to the weather. There is lots of other trails in the network riding really well- our team can guide you as to what’s running hot when you check in. We look forward to seeing you all on the hill soon!

24.01.2022 Spring Enduro Series powered by SRAM / RockShox Round 2 This week is a fun one, with an awesome mix of tech and flow that will suit strong intermediate riders. We’ll also be opening up the first 2 stages of our new lower mountain climb - no more fire trail grind (just a couple of short sections while the remainder of the trail is completed). This week we are racing;... L1 - Climb to midline S1 - Supercross > Pamela L2 - Abbotts > Eastside Link S2 - Moss Boss > Moss Def > Tinder > Fire Road > South Crescent It’ll be a slightly shorter race this week (elevation ~500m), with a much gentler climb. Racing kicks off 2pm Sunday, entry is a $10 cash donation straight to the prize pool.

23.01.2022 A heads up for all those planning to join us from interstate this summer - Tasmania is currently seeing a strong surge of tourism interest, coupled with reduced supply of flights, and hire cars. We strongly suggest locking in your travel bookings as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

22.01.2022 We are excited to sign up Willie Smith's Cider Makers as a new park partner! Willie’s are a local Tasmanian company who produce some of the best cider you’ll find anywhere. We’ll have Willie’s cider on tap and in the fridge for our reopening tomorrow. We thank the Willie’s team for their support (and their support of mountain biking in Tasmania in general).

22.01.2022 Booking terms and conditions update A friendly reminder that bookings cannot be changed or refunded within 72hr of the booking commencement. We have taken a lenient approach across our opening weekend, but will be reverting to our standard terms and conditions from today. Our COVID booking policy remains- we will re book, credit or refund any COVID related booking issues. Any refund requests unrelated to COVID will have our standard 10% processing fee deducted.... We appreciate everyone’s understanding; the tourism industry is an extremely difficult industry to be operating in at the moment, so it’s more important than ever that we retain a sustainable operating model.

22.01.2022 Adventure through the Maydena wilderness? Spirit Quest ticks that off! Spirit Quest is our green flow trail riding through a leafy fern forest starting from midline and ending at eastside. Fun for any rider Plan your ride here - https://www.maydenabikepark.com/trails/

18.01.2022 Reopening Update Based on the current weather forecast we are in for a warm but wet reopening. We will be unable to open our new lower mountain uplift service this weekend due to the weather and freight delays with our new uplift vehicles- this service will launch in mid-late October. If you have purchased a Premium Uplift we will be in touch with you shortly- your booking can remain using our full mountain uplift. We will make an assessment on trails over the course of this... week. The majority of our network will be open, though some brand new trails may need to remain closed for a couple of days to dry out. An update video will be out later today. The weekend uplift has sold out, though trail riding is still available. We look forward to seeing those of you who’ve booked on the weekend!

18.01.2022 We know it’s hard to find the right place to introduce kids and beginner riders to the sport, so we created that place. And we are continuing to develop more beginner and kids facilities! While many trails are too hard, or simply too long, our modular lower mountain trail network allows riders to create near infinite riding loop options to suit their fitness and ability. The best bit is, we’ve extended our free Mountain Pass offer until the end of the school holidays, so you can access all this (and any trails up to our Midline Trail self propelled) for FREE! Our new Lower Mountain Uplift launches December 19th, providing access to a network of yet to be opened beginner trails.

17.01.2022 Reopening Postponed With a poor weather forecast for the week, including a number of significant snow events leading into Saturday, we have made the difficult decision to delay our reopening by one week (we can’t seem to catch a break! ). The forecast snow is likely to restrict access to our summit trails, and will affect our other new and recently upgraded trails. Our new open date will be Saturday October 3rd. Anyone holding an affected booking will have their booking shif...ted back by one week (to the same day the following week). If this does not suit you, please let us know and we’ll accommodate you. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Hang in there a little longer, it’ll be worth the wait!

16.01.2022 COVID update We have been following the COVID 19 situation in mainland states, and the Tasmanian government response closely. Currently travel is only restricted to Tasmania for those in hotspot areas of Victoria and New South Wales. You can keep up with all the latest declared hotspots and restrictions via the link below. We are doing our part to keep our visitors safe through a range of screening and sanitation processes. We know planning ahead is particularly tough for man...y people right now, so we appreciate those who are booking in advance. While we do our best to accommodate late bookings and/or on the day arrivals, unfortunately we often cannot during peak season. For those of you who do miss out on a full day uplift, we often have enduro pass or afternoon uplifts available (otherwise climbing is FREE all summer). Remember, we offer flexible credits, or 100% refunds for any booking interrupted by COVID. www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au.
