We are awaiting further information from our contractors as to when a possible alternative date for the lift will be. As soon as we are made aware of a new date, we will let you know. 17.01.2022 The dolphins have certainly been putting on a show on our Tasman Island and Bruny Island Cruises. 10 year old Charlie Storey captured the action of a pod of common dolphins playing with our yellow boats on a recent Bruny Island Cruise. Great shot Charlie!

We apologise for any inconvenience.*** ...We advise that the Tasman Highway will be closed between the Tasman Bridge and Brooker Avenue from 7 pm Friday 2 November until 6 am Monday 5 November. - Expect delays of at least 30 minutes or longer at peak travel times. - Allow extra time for travel and follow the detour signs. - Avoid unnecessary travel (particularly on the Tasman Bridge). - If you are travelling from north of Risdon Road to the eastern shore or north of Lindisfarne to the western shore, please use the Bowen Bridge. - If you are travelling to the airport, please allow enough time to catch your flight. - If you are using public transport, please check updated timetables. - There will still be access to the city centre and the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre will operate as usual. 13.01.2022 To allow for Fulton Hogan to undertake painting and finishing works on the Bridge of Remembrance, one lane each way on the Tasman Highway will be closed between... 8 pm and 6 am from tonight 21 January until (and including) Thursday 31 January. To minimise traffic issues for fans attending the Big Bash game on Tuesday 29 January, the lane closures will be delayed on that day only and begin at 12 am Wednesday 30 January, finishing at 6 am.

The Tasmania Fire Service states that during a ...total fire ban it is illegal to light or cause a fire to start in the open. Please report any bushfire or smoke sightings quickly to TFS by calling Triple Zero. Because its a total fire ban, any smoke sighting should be treated as a bushfire and responded to quickly. The total fire ban is in force in the following municipalities between 2am on Saturday 4 January until 2am Sunday 5 January: Brighton, Central Highlands, Clarence, Derwent Valley, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Glenorchy, Hobart, Huon Valley, Kingborough, Sorell, Southern Midlands, Tasman, BreakODay, Dorset, George Town, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, West Tamar, and Flinders.
