17.01.2022 We found an injured bug! What amazing empathy and ingenuity our children have been displaying today! Together they were brainstorming ways to look after this poor little injured bug. They knew that it needed:... Food.... leaves Warmth.... blanket (made of bark) Hydration.... moisture from the leaves The team work that was happening here was truely heart warming. We love you guys!
12.01.2022 Last weeks magician show we watched a sense of confidence come out in some of our children as they got to be involved in magic , we also saw the creativity inspire children’s imagination and sense of wonder while others were just enjoying the ludicrous humour which left belly laughter coming from everywhere
11.01.2022 We painted our gratitude wall for the community garden today! Following on from our worm wee savings, this has been a little project of ours and we’re so happy to see it progressing. Due to the paint we used, we decided to leave the painting up to the educators. It was a great space to embed conversation about health with the children as we explained the importance of not breathing in toxins. Ultimately though, it was the perfect opportunity for us to continue exploring the... concept of community and gratitude. Gratitude bring One of our favourite virtues in the Diamond room, we all agreed gratitude is being thankful. Once we’ve put our final touches on the gratitude wall, the plan it to install it into the community garden on one of their working bees. All families are welcome to join in the fun and join us as we donate a beautiful pice of MELC’s philosophy into our local community. @silsoe_street_community_garden These are some of the children’s gratitude quotes... 06.01.2022 Silk worms! One of our beautiful families bought in some silk worms for us to explore this month and it’s opened a world of learning opportunities... From life cycle to empathy, community to craft - we have delved into it all. What’s beautiful experience. Thank you Mr F. for sharing these little pockets of magic with us!!!
