19.01.2022 Another great example of the P&C working together with the school after consulting with the parent community in 2019. We can announce that Mayfield SS has been successful for a grant from the department to resurface and build a steel structure over our basketball court. The P&C will contribute a significant amount which enabled the school to be successful. Exciting times ahead. Labor candidate for Chatsworth, Lisa O'Donnell came to see the space recently.

18.01.2022 Final assembly on Tuesday 2:15 in the hall. Parents are welcome to attend. Come and celebrate the year that has been and find out who our 2021 school captains are. 18.01.2022 At running club this morning we worked on speed and team work. Relays is one of our favourite sessions! Next week we will continue to work on team work as well as endurance. We are going to track how many km’s we run collectively
16.01.2022 This week Mayfield State School had a visit from our Education Minister - The Hon. Grace Grace. She came to look at the basketball court which the department and the P&C are working together to build with a Building Education grant. Our captains and buddies enjoyed talking with her and finding out about education across the state. Queensland Department of Education

16.01.2022 This year we have been acknowledging the effort, energy, and thinking our students have been putting into their work. Mr Male has been busy going around to classes this year, talking to students, and being impressed with their learning. Each week one person has been selected to be acknowledged on assembly and get to fly the drone with Mr Male - her's a sample from this year
