Over the coming weeks well share some of the wonderful things people have said about their time with us... Review spotlight. "We stayed in Maylands lodge on our last night in Hobart before returning to the U.K. We booked a Hunter suite and requested one with a mountain view room. We also asked for early check in and Maylands were happy to oblige with this! ... The whole lodge has been beautifully restored in a mix of traditional and contemporary styles. The Hunter suited we were in faced Mount Wellington and on the day that we visited the sun shone and we had an amazing view of it from the room. We also had a terrace where we could sit in the sun and enjoy the peace and quiet and views. Totally amazing! Staff were wonderful. After a recent race cancellation, General Manager of Maylands Lodge, Gareth Hinds, felt the need to channel his energy into something positive and is looking to raise money for Beyond Blue by running a half marathon a day this month. "I'm running an average of 21.1km every day for the 30 days of September, which equates to 635km total, along with a vertical goal of 15km on Hobart's trail network.... "Maylands Lodge has an ethos of making the world a better place and this challenge is me living this, Mr Hinds said. "I'm determined to look back on these unprecedented times knowing that I tried to contribute to something bigger than me and my personal challenges."
