18.01.2022 Great to see the progress from Year 8/9 TBAS Project Based Learning students on their community projects. These guys have advanced to construction stage, along with mentor Dennis Peck, on some seating along the pathway out to the cemetery/RV Park. They’ve gone through both the planning stage and presentation to Council before getting to this point.
15.01.2022 It is exciting to be planning the ‘At The Bay’ festival weekend, bringing together a series of different events in one jam-packed weekend. With challenges around management of events at the moment, a unified event is definitely the way to go! Set the March long weekend aside ready for markets, street art, Fringe events, and a variety of community groups and businesses getting involved! www.atthebay.net
13.01.2022 Reminder! You’ve only got a short time left before your opportunity to put in a nomination is gone. If you know someone in our community deserving of recognition, please consider putting together a nomination.
11.01.2022 This morning at the eleventh hour we stopped to remember those who have fought and died protecting our nation and values. It was my privilege to represent our Council and community, along with DCTB CEO Rebecca Hayes, in the laying of a wreath. Lest We Forget.
06.01.2022 Peter Treloar has been a hardworking and conscientious local member for us on the Eyre Peninsula. He has always been willing to listen to the concerns of our community and do what he can to solve any challenges. Most importantly he’s been a man of integrity and balanced perspective. Personally I would like to recognise him as a good friend and wish him and his family all the best with whatever his next steps are, once the next 16 months of his Parliamentary term are completed.

04.01.2022 Today’s Advertiser highlights the employment opportunities there is in our region in a range of different sectors. COVID-19 has highlighted two important aspects of employment: 1-Lifestyle is so important & 2-You don’t need to be in the city to perform many jobs. There is so much upside to living regionally, so why not!
03.01.2022 Lipson-Ungarra Road is open again. There will still be some speed restrictions in place whilst the resealing is completed, but traffic can now get through.
01.01.2022 It was good to have Transport Minister Corey Wingard with us in DC Tumby Bay covering a myriad of subject matters such as roads, bridges, ports, and jetties. Collaboration and leadership is crucial, with three tiers of government working together.
