25.01.2022 Back in July we were asked to inspect a 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero that had been repaired by the insurers recommended repairer. We knew from the first inspection t...he vehicle repairs had not been carried out to the vehicle manufacturers specifications. Only after rectification repairs commenced did the true state of the previous repairs become known. Our client has now been paid out as per the policy. We have not heard whether the repairer is still a recommended repairer or not, but when you are listed on the stock market perhaps problems like this are just factored into the cost of doing business. If a small business was responsible for a repair like this would they be sent more work? The smash repair industry downward spiral continues because major insurers fail to ensure the safety of repairs to their customers. If your car has been repaired, do yourself a favour and have it independently inspected. See more
