23.01.2022 VIRTUAL SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM | Register for Melbourne City FC school holiday clinics online! MCFC and City in the Community are offering a range of virtual School Holiday activities including our City Kids and City Girls Fun Skills Clinic with our Melbourne City FC academy coaches, teaching children new skills and tricks. All the funds raised from these clinics will go directly to our CityzensGiving for Recovery program.... In Melbourne, the Coronavirus crisis has had a significant impact on the most vulnerable and marginalized children and their families. Before the crisis, many families in the most disadvantaged communities experienced food insecurity and children often attended school without having eaten breakfast. With schools closed, their nutrition was even more compromised, and parents were also unprepared for home schooling, leading to disengagement with remote learning. It is now a challenge to ensure children and youth return and stay in school when they reopen after closures. This project will help children return to education after missing many weeks of schooling due to lockdown, through the provision of healthy and nutritious food and physical activity through football to children at school. City in the Community will deliver free football and physical activity classes, along with education on health and nutrition, at Breakfast and Homework Clubs run by SecondBite Charities. This will be a holistic approach to tackle the nutritional, physical and social needs of young children who have been isolated for many weeks without being able to properly focus on their education. This project will be delivered by City in the Community in Melbourne. City Girls Fun Football Skills: Monday 28 September 10am 11am $20 for standard virtual clinic, or $30 to include an optional supporter scarf *$10 to cover cost of postage of item* (All proceeds to CityzensGiving for Recovery programs and SecondBite). 19.01.2022 Following recent announcement from the Victorian Government that metropolitan Melbourne have returned to Stage 3 restrictions, we confirm that all football-related activity must cease (effective 11.59 PM on 8 July, 2020) for the duration of the lockdown. Therefore all grassroots, weekly training, practice games, games and social activities of our club are suspended (for at least 6 weeks) until further notice. In the meantime, coaches and team managers will keep on communicating with our members and playing groups. We will also continue to plan for training and playing opportunities on our return. As a board, we sincerely thank you all for your help, support, understanding, care and commitment during this really difficult time.

Senior Men's / Women's Leagues cancelled MiniRoos / Juniors to resume in modified form on an opt-in basis, with a target date in September (subject to Government restrictions)... In light of these announcements, the MFC Board will meet next week to discuss how the Club will proceed going forward. We are all in unchartered waters and please remember that you are part of our community and we will do whatever we can to help. As per the FFA statement [ http://bit.ly/38ULXmZ ] has resolved that as of today, all sanctioned grassroots football activity in Australia will be susp...ended until 14th April 2020. The suspension applies to all sanctioned matches and competitions, including National Premier Leagues, FFA Cup, youth and grassroots football (including MiniRoos and futsal) as well as training and associated football related activities. We recognise that this is very disruptive and will raise many questions from a management perspective. 04.01.2022 #OnThisDay back in 2018 we were promoted to State League 1. With results coming down to the wire, it was a nail-biting end to the season. Thanks to Mooroolbark Soccer Club containing our neighbours Brandon Park Football Club to a draw, the goals from Vicente Eduardo Vasquez Fuentes (2), Lennon Whewell (2) and Anthony Hammer proved vital as the entire team battled it out to the final whistle, with promotion coming down to goal difference.
