24.01.2022 Congratulations to this young bunch of legends who tonight accounted for Olinda in their Super7s encounter by just under runs. The team man award went to young Sasith Chandrasena (centre of picture holding #ToyotaGoodForCricket raffle cap) in recognition of two weeks of great bowling. Last week he took his first wicket in competitive cricket, this week he doubled down with two wickets for 4 runs from his two overs. The whole team should be proud of their efforts tonight and the sprit in which they played the game. They were a credit to the ! #Nodders

23.01.2022 POSTPONEMENT OF PRESENTATION NIGHT. Its a strange world we live in, and in the last 24 hours Cricket Victoria has advised all games be cancelled, and social events be cancelled. This combined with government rules regarding social gatherings our committee have made the tough decision to postpone this years presentation night. In light of the fact that this was our most successful season in history this night deserves to be a celebration. No handshakes, no dancing just does...nt do justice to our year. The night will take place, our champions will be recognised but it wont be as planned on Friday. The health and well being of all our players, families and friends is paramount. Lets all take care of each other and be ready to celebrate when the world becomes a healthier place. Congratulations to all our champs. We look forward to recognising your greatness soon. Go Nodders

22.01.2022 Club Members We wish to notify you that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Mazenod Old Collegians Cricket Club (Club) has been scheduled to take place Wednesday, 27 May 2020. You should have received an email notifying of the same this afternoon. The full details of the meeting are as follows: Date: Wednesday, 27 May 2020... Time: 7.00pm Location: Mazenod College, Club Rooms In light of the current health crisis, the Club will be monitoring Government requirements and restrictions. If necessary, the AGM will be held on an electronic platform and a link to that platform will be provided closer to the date of the AGM. All positions of the office bearers will be vacated at the AGM. If you would like to nominate someone for a role on the committee for Season 2020/21, please provide your nomination in writing to the Club Secretary by Wednesday, 20 May 2020 at [email protected]. It was a great team effort and it would be remiss not to call out the team hat trick cleverly engineered by a son of a gun Will Dresser. In addition to engineering the hat trick Will finished with incredible figures of 4 for 6 off his 3 overs.

19.01.2022 MAZENOD JUNIOR CRICKET CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT: Cricket Victoria are hopeful the cricket season will be going ahead for 2020/21. Presently, we await the end of Stage 4 restrictions. Once further information is released we will provide updates immediately. At this stage, the earliest possible time the season could potentially start would be mid-late October. Please register your interest as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Squads are to be finalised by mid-September. ... The great Michael Waugh is booked to leave our shores at 4pm today. I personally would like to thank Wags for all he has brought to our club. The glorious cover drive, the off spinner that occasionally turns of its line, but more importantly a lifelong friend to many, from our youngsters... to the oldies like myself, we are so thankful you came into our world. 14.01.2022 Kallen Warren was unable to collect his Team Man award on Saturday night because he was in Perth watching his beloved Weagles. Tonight after training at Mazenod Panthers All Ability Football Club, cricket club stalwart Simon Dresser presented Kallen with his award. Fifths captain Jeremy Nugara said of Kallen on Saturday night when announcing the award that a lot of senior cricketers could take a leaf out of Kallen’s book in the way that he trains and prepares.... Congratulations Kallen!

08.01.2022 The PTSD 25 push ups for 25 days to raise mental health issues has really taken off at the club. For those unaware the challenge is you do 25 push ups every day for 25 days to raise awareness for PTSD and other mental health related issues. You take a video of yourself, post it and nominate someone. Last night those from the club who have been nominated jumped on zoom and did the 25 push ups together. Call out to Simon Dresser who has built this up around the club and MCB for setting up the zoom.
