21.12.2021 Beyond the Pond For this assignment, I had to make a concept design dossier (a collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject) about a story brief given to us. My story brief was called ‘Beyond the Pond’ and this was the synopsis:... In the Kingdom of Lily Pad, a hound adventurous frog longs to venture beyond the pond. Raindrop has never been beyond her home and dreams of the incredible journey she will have, but instead finds great dangers. Armed only with her family’s magical instrument, and accompanied by her two dear friends, she must brave the encroaching blight that is poisoning the land. How will she overcome The Poisonous Blight and ensure the safety of her peaceful homeland? The style I was aiming for was a Cartoon Network style, as I was aiming to make it into a hypothetical TV show for kids 10+. For this assignment, I drew two characters (Raindrop the Frog and Sprout the Lotus), one object (Raindrop’s Magical Family Instrument), and one environment (Lilypad City).
