14.01.2022 It's got to run its course. This is never what parents want to hear, but it's true. Every challenge our tween or teen face comes with its own life lesson. We c...an't rush those lessons, or schedule them. Sometimes we aren't in control of how they learn or from whom. Turning points come at unexpected times and often from unexpected places. In the meantime we hold the fort. We do what we can to make them smile and feel safe, because THIS gives them the strength to learn. That's what I love about FAMILY. I write this today because a lot of family's aren't ending this year on the positive note they anticipated. Self-harm, eating disorders, disengagement with school, anxiety, friendship breakdowns, low self-esteem.... I know it's very hard for to watch our kids go through heavy stuff. Patiently and lovingly riding the emotional wave with them is even harder. If you feel tired or overwhelmed, I want to remind you that today is not forever. It's a season. It's a moment in time. And just like a wave, it has a limited life span. Tomorrow can be so much different.

10.01.2022 IS IT BECAUSE I HAVE HASHIMOTO'S "Nooooo, you have multiple symptoms, one symptom is a thyroid issue." But the thyroid interacts with so many facets of who you ...are. I asked this lady a simple question "I want you to notice how often you have to use your throat and your jaw when I push and pull you." a) I placed my hand on her head : eyes closed, jaw tightened, throat tightened, held breath b) Pulled her from the back of the head : eyes closed, jaw tightened, throat tightened, held breath c) Pushed her head from the forehead : eyes closed, jaw tightened, throat tightened, held breath These three give a suggestion of whiplash, and concussion, (something serious happened to this lady) d) Hand on chest and pushed : eyes closed, jaw tightened, throat tightened, held breath e) Hand at hips and pushed : eyes closed, jaw tightened, throat tightened, held breath Core and pelvic floor are upset f) Stand on right leg and lift the left straight leg off the ground from the big toes, then the other leg set up : eyes closed, jaw tightened, throat tightened, head breath Essentially you lock your jaw, the throat constricts when you do everything Eyes have to close and you hold your breath The thyroid sits in your throat. Physically it is placed under pressure all the time by the jaw, by the hyoid, and the pneumatic pressure of the diaphragm and the cranial pressure. So 1.the thyroid is being physically crushed...it will behave differently. 2. your body is physically locking down to support itself.....thus it’s in stress and it will create physiological responses, thus create an adrenal response, Immune system is influenced, but also Heart rate goes up, blood goes pressure up, you are already in pneumatic stress so breath is different, your thyroid will respond to all of this. 3. In an over active adrenal response, and a body that is not behaving as well as it should your emotions will be different and in a negative way...and your thyroid will respond. 4. Then because the body is so interconnected and protects itself, information feeds back into itself then it creates multiple issues, physiologically, structurally but it impacts on your energy your emotions and your thinking ability and patterns. Tell me about the accidents that have happened to you. You weren't born with it, were you? No not at all So start at the beginning, not the latest ones, start... how was your birth, how was it for mum .....then she got the idea, she has had a substantial accidental history challenged birth a busy toddler, loved her sport but went hard, appendix operation, car accident as a child, rode a horse and fell, sleep issues, period issues, trouble falling pregnant, c-section and difficult deliveries, .....bingo now the thyroid trouble. You can see that the body is in stress a) the posture b) the laboured walking We must reset you, all of you, joint, muscle, fascia and then what attaches you, physiological, vascular, neurology all of that. We must reinstall you, from the start We must reteach your body how to do things better, physically and physiological issues too. Then we must continually dot the 'i's" and cross the 't's" no quick fix, progress and more progress ...progress not perfection A tablet is not going to fix this Neither is nice cup of tea, or changing your diet All help...but lets make it easier for your body and make it work better than what it is doing. You must realise you will be better than before but you must work at it to get Better and BETTER. As our world continues to change, ...so does the world of our kids..and there are some big feelings emerging. As the caring adults in tweens and teens lives, we have a big job to do right now. Our job is to shelter young ones within our wing span. We claim them. We step in when they are lacking the motivation to care for themselves. Self-harm is affecting more young people than many want to admit. It comes in many shapes and forms, and isn't just about cutting or burning. I refer to self-harm as the destructive thinking that leads our kids to all sorts of destructive behaviours. I know that walking beside a child in their darkest times is one of the most powerful things parents will ever do, but it isn't easy. If you feel like you need up-skilling, you will find a list of FREE resources below. They come with all of my love and support. Please feel free to share them with your school communities or wherever necessary. No need to ask my permission - go for it. I want you to know that in some small way I am walking with you. I have asked him mum if I can include her message to me, because I want parents to see that they aren’t alone. It's intense. It's difficult. But in the years to come your relationship has the potential to be so much stronger for having the capacity to embrace them. Hi Michelle, I met you at xxxxx, gosh it must be over a year ago, or was it 2??? My daughter was not self harming, but had friends who were self harming through alcohol and smoking (tobacco and marijuana) and I admitted to you that when you came on stage, I sat back in my chair and said to myself ahhh, I can sit back and relax during this one...my daughter doesn’t self harm, won’t need to take notes But what I did learn was whilst she wasn’t self harming....her friends were. I spoke to you during the interval about my revelation that yes, my daughter was dealing with self harm-but in a different way...and we gave a little high five, and off I trotted. Well, how things have changed. I found out my daughter had self harmed-she snuck a knife into her room, cut 5 or 6 lines near her elbow-I discovered it about a week later. We spoke about what set her off and she promised to tell me if she ever felt she wanted to do it again(this was at the very beginning of covid-school was in the process of announcing closure and xxx was experiencing an outbreak and this was dominating the news and their(teens) social media platforms (March) Was this the trigger, I don’t know. Over the weekend just gone I found out she had self harmed again. I have just ordered your book and downloaded the podcast, my fear is heightened however I am trying to keep my cool in public. Thank you for having something for me to grab onto-to learn and know that there are people out there to help educate us parents, we are living in strange times, and our children are suffering. 03.01.2022 Lift Your Vibration with food: Have you heard people talking about attaining a higher vibration? Are you unsure what that means or why it's important t...o you? In this article I am going to address both questions so that you will have a clearer understanding and hopefully want to attain it for yourself and your life. We all vibrate energetically at a particular frequency. The lower the frequency, the denser your energy, and the heavier your problems seem. Here you may experience pain and discomfort in your physical body and experience heavy emotions and mental confusion. Psychically, your energy is darker. You need to exert a great deal of effort to accomplish your goals. Overall, your life takes on a negative quality. The higher the frequency of your energy or vibration, the lighter you feel in your physical, emotional, and mental bodies. You experience greater personal power, clarity, peace, love, and joy. You have little, if any, discomfort or pain in your physical body, and your emotions are easily dealt with. Your energy is literally full of light! Your life flows with synchronicity, and you manifest what you desire with ease. Overall, your life takes on a positive quality. Being in a higher vibration is going to become more and more important to you and the rest of the world as we experience greater awareness of the polarities between the lower and higher vibrations. We will begin to perceive greater separation between the "dark" and the "light" almost as if we live in two worlds at once. We will need to consciously choose between the dark and the light or the higher and the lower vibrations. Despair and desperation due to challenges will consume those vibrating at a lower frequency. Know that help is available from those vibrating at the higher frequency. The lower and denser energies will naturally want to rise when around the higher and lighter energies. However, this process will feel very uncomfortable for people who carry the lower energies and people who carry the higher energies for a while. It is important for people who carry a higher vibration to maintain it and not lower it no matter how uncomfortable it feels. Those people resonating at a higher vibration will only be able to maintain it as long as they don't succumb to the pull of the lower vibration. That pull will come in the form of old programs and patterns of needing approval or of wanting to "fit in." When you choose to be in a higher vibration, you are an example. Choosing the light of a higher vibration requires a firm commitment to it even when it feels as though you no longer fit in. You won't receive approval or fit in any longer because you WILL stand out from those with a lower vibration just as a tiny light in the midst of a dark room stands out. Understand that those with the lower vibration have the potential to raise their frequency. Remember that you will be able to find people who resonate at a higher vibration where you will have the support you need to keep your light shining bright.
